I have a picture I want to use for our christmas cards. There’s dead space in the center of the photo – and I want to add the wording “merry christmas” to it.
My problem?! I have NO CLUE how to do it.
Any ideas? Do I need to seek out a graphic design artist to do this for me? Or does anyone know of anyone who could do it? (Etsy or otherwise)?

If you just want to add text to the picture I would use picnik.com. You can upload the photo and then add your text.

There are sites like mixbook, Heritagemakers.com, etc. which have the basic functionality of desktop publishing software- you can completely custom design cards, books, etc. then print and have them direct shipped.
