I've never used a blue dye test before, but I've gotten loads of evaps with pink dye FRERs. This is a target brand version of the FRER (right next to it, says compare to) but its blue.
9 dpo..evening..within the time frame. thoughts?
ETA - smaller photo a few posts down
I don't even see an evap... maybe we need a better picture? Or just go get a digital!
I'm sorry, it's really blurry! Try looking at it smaller, I posted it here -
http://www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test-gallery/image.php?galleryid=12381
it's one of the ones with just a line to show pregnancy, not the cross.
ETA - no matter what I try, my phone focuses on the counter..grr.
I really don't know, I still can't see anything. But my first positive test was super light too. Grab a digital, those are the only ones that don't make me insane.
@KatyElle: I know, I wish I could get a clear pic! I just tried shrinking it in word, but with a mac, picture editing does not seem to be my strong suit. I was quite happy with paint in windows.
I think I'll try FMU tomorrow and if it seems to be the same, I'll go buy a digital..I've heard the digitals aren't as sensitive? They're so expensive! I'm afraid to buy one and have it just be negative, lol.
so as a last ditch attempt to make it somewhat clearer, I tried to edit..

I see it in the link you posted! And to me it doesn't look like an evap... it looks real... test again tomorrow morning!!!
I definitely see a (faint) line. But its really early. I'd test again in a day or two :)
thank you ladies! I just want tomorrow to come so I have a better idea! tomorrow's our 6 month wedding anniversary, so that'd be a perfect celebration!
@sorrycharlie: tagging this thread so I can have an update! Please try a digital!! :)))
I do see something on the small link you posted! As you're still so early at 9 DPO, I've got my fingers crossed that the line appears darker tomorrow morning with your FMU. Keep us posted and good luck!
I think I see a faint, faint, line... test again tomorrow and let us know! Fingers crossed for you!!!
thank you guys! I'm so nervous! I haven't had any symptoms, so I'm having a tough time believing it might be it!
@sorrycharlie: that was my biggest clue - NO symptoms! Usually I get a fair amount of PMS symptoms that are exactly the same as early pregnancy symptoms, but the month I got my BFP, I had no symptoms whatsoever! Can't wait to hear what happens - fingers crossed so tightly for you!
@sorrycharlie:I can't believe you're waiting... if it were me, I'd be buying a digital right away because I just couldn't wait! Are you even going to be able to sleep tonight!?!? Haha!
Aaaaaa I see a faint, faint line too!!! Yea, i'd be rushing to the store for a digital right away too, ha ha!!
I can't really see anything because my screen won't show something really light but if the other ladies do then it should be there! Let us know tomorrow what it comes out as!!!
I see it too!!!! So exciting - I hope its really a BFP!!! I'll be checking this post again to see what happens. : )
I think it was a false positive. I've been up all night sick and just used another blue due (target brand) and got a bfp but the Internet cheapie was bfn :(
@sorrycharlie: The internet cheapies suck - bottom line. I tested at 15 DPO and had the faintest of faint lines - I mean it was only there if I held it two inches from my eye, squinted really hard, and held it under the light at a certain angle. I then used a digital and 'pregnant' popped up right away, followed soon after with 2 - 3, mean it had been that long since conception occurred. So clearly the internet cheapies, despite being 'extremely sensitive at detecting at 10ml' are really not that reliable at all. My line didn't show up as clearly positive on the internet cheapies until about 22 DPO - ridiculous!!! If you got another positive today on the blue dye strips, I would definitely NOT count yourself out! Also, remember that you are still very, very early to be testing. I've still got my fingers crossed for you.
And yes, clearly I am stalking this thread as I seem to respond within a few minutes of every update you give! :-)
I wouldn't go with the cheapies anymore, go drop the money and get a digital. Don't count yourself out yet!
Wait until the morning and then use a digital. Sometimes if you take too may tests you can dilute the urine and end up with a false negative.
For the record when I got my BFP the only symptoms I had was feeling sick, like I was coming down with a cold or the flu. Don't discount it. If you don't want to spend the money on a digitial just yet, give it a few days and then test. 9DPO is really early to get a positive. Good luck - I hope it's a BFP!!
@Ree723: LOL I don't mind!
@KatyElle: I'm definitely going to go out today and grab one. My test this morning was darker than yesterdays (I saved it, haha!).
@chrispygal: I woke up at 12p last night and haven't slept since..violently ill. I texted my mom and she thought I caught something at the school system where I'm interning..I wonder if it is like you said, feeling like the flu. ugh! either way it stinks!
even though I'm feeling terrible today I'm going to truck it to the store to grab a digital.
Remember, if you are pregnant then you can be feeling this way for awhile so it would be best to get the digital like planned so you can nofor sure. If you aren't pregnant you should probably get some medicine to help you feel better and if you are then congrats but get used to the sickness. :)
I know waiting is no fun for you, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the digital gives you a clear answer! These threads are so suspenseful!
@sorrycharlie: Happy 6 month wedding anniversary. Fingers crossed for you!!! I'd probably trust the target brand one over the internet cheapie, but who knows... Also, it may just be too early... I tested negative at 10 DPO and positive at 12 DPO. If today's test isn't positive, try again later.
I can totally see the blue line...but like others said, if you're unsure, wait and test with FMU. I got my BFP at 7DPO, so early results are possible!
I think you are pregnant! My line was very faint on cheapies at like 15dpo so I think at 9dpo you should give it a few days. Get the really sensitive kinds if you must know now but if you can hold out till middle of the coming week you will know for sure. Congrats if it's true!
results are in..digital test was POSITIVE!
I'm slightly freaking out right now..I'm a little shocked!!
@KatyElle: LOL That is the best response to a bfp:)
CONGRATS! Didn't we tell you those digitals knew how to put an end to the maddness? ;)
Congrats congrats congrats!!!!! HOW EXCITING! And what an amazing 6 month anniversary present!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
