Everyone is responding NO for my shower which is in 3 days. (I am the bride but it's not a surprise) I live about an hour an a half from where the shower is back home. I kind of understand that all my people up here don't want to spend 3 hours in the car. Apparently most of the people back home are on vacation. 2 of my bridesmaids (who live far away) aren't going to be there. Out of the 32 people that were invited - 7 are coming.... most are family, 2 are friends. With me and my other bm's that makes 10 people. I really didn't even want a shower and now I just feel awful... I find it kind of embarassing that there are so few people. It must have just been a lousy weekend for this but that doesn't make me feel any less awful. To top it all I get the feeling that my MOH is getting annoyed/just feeling that this is sad. So not helping! So I need some advice... do I ask them to cancel it or just put on a happy face and stick it out??? I am dreading this....

Put on a happy face and have a fabulous time with the 7 people who are coming to celebrate you!

It will be a wonderful shower because you will actually get to spend more time with those that are coming and appreciate the fact they are there for you.

There were only 11 people at my shower, and it was still fun. I have the same situation as you, all my friends and family live far away (like 6 hour car ride far), so I understood there being so few people. Believe me, it will still be fun!

You'll still have a good time!  And like kellyalvey said, you'll have more time to spend with those that ARE there!

Miss Sunbeam JUST posted about how her shower this weekend only had 10 guests but it was so wonderful and lovely and perfect! You will feel loved and special, no matter how many people attend...I'm sorry your MOH is acting less than enthusiastic, hopefully once it gets closer, she'll change her tune...

You will still have a good time!  Put on a happy face and try to not let it get to you. Im sure everyone wishes they could be there but there might be stuff preventing them from making it  Doesnt mean they love you any less.  HAVE FUN :)

The less people there, the more you'll be able to interact with everyone. My shower is this weekend and it's one big shower for both families and friends. So we have about 60 invited and probaly 45 showing up. It's going to be crazy!

Enjoy it and don't stress about the one's that can't be there.

Less people to be uncomfortable in front of while opening presents!

Don't worry about the people who are missing out, you're going to have a great time without them! : D

ilovecupcakes- I'm sorry that you are getting lots of "no"s, but try not to take it personally.

Of all my friends, only 2 came to the shower... and it was held in the Bay Area where they all live!  The rest were SO's side of the family and their friends.

But you know what?  It was still a really special day, made all the more special because my mom and sisters drove several hours to come :)

Hang in there... You'll be surprised at what a great day you have!

Put on a happy face!  I was really paranoid when people were rsvping no to my bach party... but now 10 people said yes.... it's your day, enjoy it!  You'll get to catch up with family and friends, it'll be awesome.  Have a few glasses =)
