So, this is my first time actually writing on a post and I really needed some advice on what to do.
I am a newly licensed LPN (like, seriously a few days ago) and I am trying to transfer my New York license to Connecticut. However, I don’t have enough clinical and theory hours to do so but I am able to meet the hours through employment. The thing is…. I’m trying to find a job as quick as possible so I can move to Connecticut to be with my husband….. but we are still waiting for available housing from the Navy so I still have some time to spare for work. I need to fill 240 hours to meet Connecticut licensing requirements. Finding a job is so difficult though! Everyone wants atleast one year of experience and I have none. They also only want part time or not enough hours per week, and like I said, I’m trying to get this done as quickly as possible so that means as many hours per week as possible. Alot of places also require CPR certification that I do not have (but I am going to the class sometime this week) so that won’t be a problem.
Did anyone else have this type of problem or conflict? If so, how did you manage to find a job or solve this dilemma? Any advice would be appreciated!
