I got a plain band from Amazon for $130, 14K

Search around Amazon, you’ll find something for a good price on there.

We found FI’s tungsten band for $25.  We didn’t spend no more than $200 on our bands…we were expecting $800-900.  We shopped around for bargins

May i suggest what we did for my engagement ring? Desii:   we bought used from our local jeweler. A 3,000-5,000 dollar ring for $900. I think 2nd hand is a great option hun.

Desii:  Also after months of researching myself and mysister a few years ago when she married, for men Tunston is best if hes a working man. It holds up will not scratch or damage. Is extreamly comfortable, Comes in many styles and is very affordable.

Desii:  2nd hand is always a great idea.  Check your local craigslist/kijiji online and meet the person at a jeweller.

Check out berricle.com they have some very nice rhodium dipped sterling silver cz engagement rings and bands..their rings are very well made and good priced..the good thing about them being rhodium dipped is that it doesnt tarnish and when it wears off you can have it redipped by a local jeweler

Desii:  Are you looking for a plain band? Or something with stones? You could look around on eBay and local pawn shops for a pre loved ring, you could probably find something awesome!

Here are some other affordable options, I would suggest gold over silver for durability.

Diamond band

Plain band

This one is $120 US, but it’s so pretty!

Desii:  I just noticed the link you posted for the etsy ring, I think that you could do better at that price, that seems steep for a CZ solitaire in silver. Places like JTV and QVC have platinum plated silver rings. QVC’s is called “epiphany” and JTV’s is “platineve”. I don’t really think the platinum plating adds a lot of durability, but it is pretty and if you get something like a simple solitaire, you would probably be OK.

JTV has this gorgeous ring for $109, if you like morganite that could be a great option. There are a couple bees who have this ring.

I second JTV, jtv.com.  I’ve been really happy with their Bella Luce line, especially the dillenium cut ( more facets) & it’s very affordable.

Desii:  Silver isnt that bad and you might be surprised how well it holds up. I had a sterling silver thumb ring that I got when I was in 10th grade, I never took it off and it finally just broke out of thE blue when I was like 31– so that ring stayed on for like 15 years. Longest piece of jewelry I ever owned up till then. It did get slightly bent out of shape over time. But if you are looking for an afoot able ring to wear for a couple years sterling silver might be just fine.

Desii:  if you do go for the JTV ring, be sure to sign up for their emails first. They often send out coupons for 15-20% off. 🙂

Desii: Congrats! My fiancee and I ordered matching anniversary rings last year from the Etsy shop RosadosBox (and a local Chicago jeweler on Jeweler’s Row to boot!) and were so happy with our purchase. There are several options which are less than $100, like this one: https://www.etsy.com/listing/183234084/prudence-silver-round-rainforest-green?ref=listing-15 .

We chose another setting (‘Ultra Petite Erika’ – https://www.etsy.com/listing/168428369/ultra-petite-erika-14kt-white-gold-round?ref=sr_gallery_8&ga_search_query=ultra+petite+erika&ga_order=most_relevant&ga_ship_to=ZZ&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery ) and had it made in sterling silver with a garnet for $90. Here’s what mine looks like:

The garnet is 3.5mm and I am a size 7 (7.5-ish in the summer). While small, it really does pop because it’s a gemstone. I’ve worn it basically every day for a year and while there are some scratches, the silver has held up beautifully. I haven’t even been good about taking it off when I wash dishes, etc. (I have no idea why the picture is at an angle, sorry!)

I’d absolutely recommend RosadosBox; if you see any designs that you like, send a convo to Shirley, the owner, and ask her to quote for alternative metals and stones. She’s very helpful and lovely to work with.
