i'm not sure if you're set on dupioni as the fabric.  my girls really wanted to wear dupioni and i was only able to find a few designers with dupioni dresses -- alfred sung, watters, and melissa sweet.  the girls really liked the tailored look of the alfred sung line and since i have girls in three different cities, alfred sung was the only one that was available (within a reasonable distance) in all three cities.  and since the dresses all have a very cohesive look, the girls are getting to pick their own dress.

we did look at getting the monique lhuillier line for nordstrom but the dresses did not look flattering for all body types so we nixed the idea.

watters also has some nice dresses but that won't help you out much since watters will likely take as much time as alfred sung.

have you seen the dresses and fabric in person?  personally i felt the dupioni didn't have enough stretch and is a pretty heavy material.  pea de soi is very similar -- still heavy but not as heavy.  then i would say shantung is the next closest.
