I drew simplified maps for my guests showing major roads and the locations of wedding events. So if you can't find an easy cheap paper map you could DIY.
JoJo - Thank you, I do and I had no idea! Yay!
Chelseamorning - I've been thinking of going that route too - especially for places right near the hotel like Starbucks!
Just wanted to update my own post in case any other DC brides happen upon this thread with similar issues. I emailed the Office of Tourism and they give you 25 of those booklets for free (per person, so you could easily have a relative order some too,) and they are only 40 cents per booklet after that. How freaking awesome is that?! This is a 104 page booklet with everything you could want - maps, restaurants, attractions, etc. - I lurve you DC Tourism Office!!
That is seriously awesome! Thanks for the update. Can't wait to tell a few of my friends planning local weddings!!
I asked for some travel guides and they arrived in the mail about a week and a half later. Great idea. Thanks Circus Peanut!
I had someone from Etsy draw a walking map for us! Only $15! I'm assuming you need a map of the city though? If you're looking for a great walking map, let me know and I'll check what her name was....
i've never been there personally, but my planners always go to the Tourism Center at the Ronald Reagan building. they said they've never had a problem just picking up however many they need for the OOT bags. they're also going to get metro maps from there too. i think they are just sitting out and no one cares how many you take.

Just curious - have any other Bees secured maps for your out of town bags? I looked at the Visitor's Bureau site and and all it mentioned was a free 104 page visitor's guide. Fantastic, to be sure, but I doubt they're willing to mail me 50 of them, right? Even the simplest store-bought maps are pretty pricey! Where are you guys finding yours?
