Hi folks
I wonder whether you might have a suggestion for me. I am looking for a non-cheesy DJ for an August wedding. I thought I had one picked, but they stopped returning my calls 3 weeks ago so I am panicked.. I think it is time to move on.
Our budget is a tight $1200, and I have tried all of the following but they are either busy or out of my price range:
*Pop Shop DJs
*erik Karf
*DJ Shakey
*DJ Gaza
*Starry Night DJ
*Colorblind Productions
Do you have any other suggestions? It is a 5 hour reception and we can actually provide all of the music we want on an iPod or on CDs if necessary. The hour long dinner playlist is totally set... just hit play.
The issue is that the wedding is based on Long Island, and almost all DJs are charging nearly $200 to travel out there from NYC. Unfortunately, non-cheesy is hard to come by on Long Island, it's hard to find a place that doesn't offer you a lazer show and blow up guitars right off the bat, and who won't showboat with the microphone.
Let me know if you have any ideas, thank you!!
