All along I’ve said we weren’t doing assigned tables (as it honestly isn’t something done in our area), but I’m slowly changing my mind.
We’re having a vintage theme and I know I saw a photo of those rock candy swizzle sticks being used as a place card (had a tag attached with ribbon with the guests’ names and table numbers) – all aligned as the guests walked into the reception. I can’t find it anywhere now and Fiance has to see a picture of it (because he thinks I’m crazy).
Anyone seen the photo I’m referring to? Something simliar? Other vintage unique ideas?

I found this one, but I’m thinking I’ve seen it somewhere else too. With the vintage theme, would it look better with just the white ones (not the multi-colored)? We’re not doing favors so this could sort of act like the favor too. It would be the wrapped candies (not unwrapped, as pictured).
I want to attach name and table number tags that look similar to this:

I think it might be hard to attach a traditional tag w/ string to the rock candy if they’re individually wrapped in plastic. Maybe print your escort “cards” onto a label and stick it onto the plastic? envelopperinc.com has really awesome shaped labels that are printer friendly, and come in every color you can imagine. they come with a .doc or .pdf file so you can line up your text and print them out.

How about something like this?
Instead of the ornate bow and blinged out label you can just do your simple string and name cards.
Really like this one as well
I just googled rock candy favors instead of rock candy escort cards. Same concept just swap out tagging.

Ahhhh, great ideas ladies. Sometimes it’s the obvious (rock candy favors) that I miss. I like the sticker idea too. I’ve always seen the old fashioned candy sticks and could do a paper wrap with the information but then I’d probably need to stand them up.
