Have you checked out “our labor of love” photography? They are based in GA, but they travel and have a style very much like the ones you posted. Not sure what your budget is, they are middle of the road in terms of price. Not super expensive, but not for the bride on a very small budget either.

we used paul morse, who is based out of DC. he is amazing. his page is http://www.paulmorse.com/ – pics from our wedding at  http://paulmorsecode.com/2010/09/14/andrea-and-kevin-washington-dc-8-14-2010/

i feel like though that your date is somewhat popular, so you may have some difficulty. it looks like you like photojournalistic style – if so, this is a  great resource – http://www.wpja.com/

@lizajamila:

You are looking for “Modern Vintage” style, this is more of a post processing technique then anything else. Any photographer with “contemporary” or journalistic style + post processing with “vintage” look will work for you. You will need to google those exact words and see what you can come up with.

@ITCPhoto– Stacy was my photographer, and she did an AMAZING job. 🙂 I agree with your assessment of the OP’s style. Good luck!

My photog, Lisa Rigby, is very similar to the second photog you listed. Her website is lisarigbyphotography.com. We hired her for our wedding in CA – her travel price is pretty hefty, though – $5500 (last year’s booking price, may have gone up) for rehearsal dinner coverage, engagement shoot, and 8 hours of wedding day coverage (We slid an hour of our rehearsal dinner coverage over to our wedding day). She requires that many hours/fee since she would be giving up other booking opportunities the weekend of the wedding. But….she is SO worth it! She may already be booked, since that’s the most popular wedding month in Boston, but it’s worth a shot.

thats the style I was looking for too.  You could try my photographer, clycreation.com.  I have no idea how much the travel fee is though.  It’s better to call than to email because the office assistant is kinda a flake.

One other I could recommend is Austin Warnock.  He’s willing to travel and based in IN.  I love his style and he uses film too, which was a huge plus for me.  My budget was 3k-4k with two shooters and both of these photographers fit that category.

I was going to recommend Jodi to you before I saw you posted her link. She’s my photographer and I’m so excited.

Anyway, she does shoots from time to time with Josh Gooden (who also does videography). He’s based out of Harrisonburg too and I really like his work a lot.

alright, now I am pissed…I noticed ALL of my posts are deleted…I do not know why. I am suggesting a photographer who I have decided to hire and one that came highly suggested by several former clients. She happens to work for someone who is listed above as well. I do not know why someone is deleting my posts but it is unfair. I am doing like everyone else is doing.

I absolutely loved my photographer (Alexis Stein Photography). She is based out of NY and I do know that she travels. http://www.AlexisSteinPhoto.com

The above repost is a hint as to who she works with as well. She works side by side with Autumn Lin Photography. Why is it that someone can post about her but not my photographer? Seems unfair to me.

We loved our photographer. She’s reasonably priced, and she is willing to travel. Her name is Jamie Weaver.  She’s based out of Savannah, GA.

She did such a great job, and we felt so comfortable with her.

Maybe try contacting Mrs. Scissors? She’s launching her own business!
