I imagine they'd unload it for you but not take it into your house. You could probably get them to wheel it into your garage. I can't imagine they would allow non-employees into the truck - sounds like a liability to me.
You can always offer cash to the delivery guy to help move it into the house! :-)
They'll at least take it off the truck. To let anyone into the truck would be a giant liability risk that I'm sure they're not willing to take, like JoJo said.
Thanks so much for putting my mind at ease! Mr. Bee that's not a bad idea either!
I've had deliveries at work where they take the delivery off the truck but no further... they couldn't even help bring it into the lobby. I imagine curbside would mean off the truck but no further. I Agree that it would be a big liability issue to make you go ON to the truck

Okay, so the freight company called this morning and my new Nordictrack is scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. I've been really sick and the coughed into the phone as the lady scheduled my appt. She even told me to feel better before hanging up. Being that I am a woman and she didn't make any mention of any special plans to have someone here to help me move it, etc. I am hoping I am worrying for nothing.
However, after looking up the delivery of curbside service I see conflicting repors and many of them state that you have to go into the truck and unload the delivery yourself...right off the truck? If that's the case, FI and I are in for some heck of a time. I was expecting it to be unloaded onto the curb, or even driveway, lawn, whatever, to where FI and I could open the box and lift it in piece by piece, as it needs a bit of assembling anyway.
Can anyone put my mind at ease here? Had a freight delivery for a big item before? I'm a little freaked out at the prospect of having to carry a 250+lb container out of the back of a semi ourselves, particularly since I have a bad back.
