Okay, me and my Airman went to the JOP to get the legal aspect of our marriage over and done with but, we are considering our wedding in October to be the real wedding and the date that we will celebrate as our anniversary. Since we don’t need an ordained person to marry us during the ceremony we thought it would be nice to have our old youth leader and friend speak at the ceremony. What is our friend supposed to say? We want our christian background to be apart of the ceremony and are doing our own vows. I just don’t know what should be said during the ceremony. Any thoughts?

I’m sure you can find outlines online. We had our friend find a basic run-of-the-mill outline, and then asked him to make it his own. Translate=nerdy. 🙂 I would have your friend do that – find an outline online, and then re-write to to make it special to you guys.

@StephieBee: Do you remember where you found it? We looked online but online found sites where you have to pay for an outline

I looked on the wedding section of about.com There are tons of helpful tips for doing your own ceremony, outlines, etc. Other than this site, by far one of the most helpful sites I have found.

Just google wedding ceremony. You’ll find tons of ideas and you can customize whatever you find to incorporate special things that you and your FI would like to have.
