Did you ask your venue if they have one you can "rent" onsite?

I’m not using them, but I believe Dream it Events does DOC work for about $700…a little over your budget, but after much searching, they are the cheapest I found.

I just gave this advice to another poster, but it might help you as well.

1.  Call some local planners and tell them your amount and see if they will negotiate.

2.  Place an ad on Craigslist under Gigs>Events.   Give your date, amount and requirements.  You may get a lot of responses, just be sure to interview and talk with the candidates.  Ask for resumes or references. 

3. See if any of the local colleges who have event planning/management classes could refer students.

Very organized and has a great eye for detail. I have helped her with a few weddings and have always seen her handle everything that is thrown her way.
