I ordered my dress from lightinthebox.  Sent them my exact measurements and they made it to fit.  I am going to have a seamstress alter the bust a little bit but the price was very affordable, the quality is great, and I’m very happy with it.  🙂

What about etsy? Try on the dress at DB than see if any dressmaker will make a copy for cheap.  Don’t get discouraged!

Try on everything that fits. Shop as if money is no object and then have Jasmine’s Bridal Shop make it. They do beautiful work check out their facebook page. You can get the dress of your dreams and still not break the bank.

Don’t get discouraged, I know it’s easier said than done.   Have you gone into David’s Bridal and tried the dress on?  I would recommend starting there, and try on other dresses in there too.  Sometimes, we have tunnel vision, and don’t look at other things.  I went to David’s Bridal and was fortunate to find a very pretty dress at a reasonable price.  I did look high and low other places, but I ended up back where I started.

Enjoy the things that you are doing preparing for this special day!

Have you considered buying a used dress? There are lots of sites you can check out and the dresses are often heavily discounted.

Have you tried searching for a slightly used one oN oncewed or preownedweddingdress…

If your not in a huge rush you could wait a bit and see if the David’s dress goes on sale, they have sales quite often.

@FutureMrsRoos:  I second dressily me.  I got my dress for about $240, including shipping.  I did my own bustle, and my bust alterations were about $60.  I also had to sew the edges of the appliques myself – they were only tacked on.

This was the original:

And this is was my replica – the bottom is weird because they are holding up my train!

I have the dress you are in love with! depending on how long you have until your wedding and need to order, I would say wait until Davids has there sales. Thats when I bought mine and it was about 150$ less. Or you can look for a used one… on here or even recyclybride.com and other sites like that. maybe even amazon.

See if Brides Against Breast Cancer will be holding a gown sale anywhere near you?

They have both new and pre-owned dresses in a wide range of sizes and styles, the prices are great, and the money goes to a good cause. If you have a very specific dress in mind there is no guarantee that they will have it in your size, of course, but if you are open-minded about trying a bunch of different things you can find something spectacular there!
