Sorry to hear that! Just an idea but what about trying to make an appointment to go to a salon near where you’re getting ready – they may have an open appointment (in case all the stylists who go to you are already booked).

@pthen1208:  What about Drybar (I think there are a few locations in the city…)  not sure of prices though…I also go to Dramatics on 34th between park and lex and go to a woman named Butterfly who I really like (once again, not sure of prices)

Would you be willing to go to a salon? I used Ricky’s Revolver salon for hair and makeup and they charged $120 for both.  I went to the one in Hoboken but the stylist were from the salon on 34th street.

If youa re willing to go to a salon, I’d check out Lifebooker.  You should be able to find a place for an updo for that price.  What style are you going for?

@pthen1208:  I know  a great stylist she works for Explosion in Howard Beach however I have used her on many ocassions for events and she is willing to travel.  Her name is Maribel maybe you can good the phone number to Hair Explosion in Howard Beach and get in touch with her.  Good luck!
