i am getting married on Saturday. My Fiance and I talked a long time ago about not getting eachother gifts at the wedding, and it sounded like we were both ok with not doing anything. We both wrote eachother a letter that we are going to read beforehand. Well long story short, I found out that he got me something- and it’s not just a little something from the sounds of it! I have NO idea what it is, but he warned me that a package of “tools” are coming Wednesday. He never gets tools to the house, so I’m betting that has to be the present for me. Now I’m panicking! I need something for him! He does outside work, so any kind of watch or cufflinks would never be used. HELP! Maybe some fishing gear? Camo? Lol I’m at a loss.

I was going to get my Fiance a nice wooden box with 5 cigars in it – 1 for the wedding night, first anniversary, first house, first baby, and tenth anniversary…
But not he doesn’t smoke anymore and doesn’t like cigars anymore… So I might do 5 nice bottles of wine or something.. I like the idea of it still, but can’t figure out what to do instead of nice cigars!

If he is an avid fisherman, I would he might like a new reel. But, as a wedding gift, I would make sure it’s a really good one. Abu Garcia and Shimano make some awesome ones, but they can be expensive. I have two Shimanos, a new one and my dad’s old one- it’s about 25 years old and still works like it’s brand new. If he is a hunter, I would suggest a beautiful new rifle or shotgun, depending what he likes to hunt. This isnt ideal if youre on a budget, though. Just some thoughts from a former country girl 🙂

Holy grammar check, Batman! *I would think he might like a new reel. Also, make sure to Google “top rated rifles/fishing reels, etc”. Don’t just listen to the guy behind the counter, especially if he looks about 20 yes old. One who looks like a grandpa and doesnt hesitate when you ask questions is always best!

Thank you everyone!!! I joked around with him that i would get him a new rifle or shotgun, but my problem is I just started my career on Monday so I haven’t even got my first check yet, and I’ve spent a lot on this wedding, so I can’t afford a spur-of-the-moment $300 gift Lol. He would love a fancy fly fishing reel, we are even go fly fishing on our honeymoon, but again with the cost. If I can stick around $60-100 I would love it.
I really love the cigar idea! I got him a cigar box with a few really nice cigars a few years ago and have never gotten anything since. I might have to do that! Thank you
