After my FI and I bought our first home, his father came over for a visit and immediately decided that we needed outdoor furniture, and a grill for our wedding gift. Amazingly generous, right? :)

The thing is we're not really sure where good quality ourdoor furniture lives. Do you bees have something you're especially pleased with, that will last you a good number of years? Where did you get it?

    Thanks!

I would love that gift!!! I have my eyes on the Tillary outdoor sofa from West Elm (I have the indoor version, my husband and I have it set up as a sectional and love it). As well as another sofa, two accent chairs and arm chair, bedroom set, and dining room set. They are contemporary, and can be a little expensive but the quality is great and I love simple clean lines.  Here is a pic of my favorite!

@rotarygirl8: Wow, that's beautiful! I like clean lines too. :)

Not sure what FFIL's budget is though... anyone else have something they absolutely love? I want to give him some options without being demanding.

@JulesSchnooks: You can always go the gift card route, and cover the rest if you cant find something that is cheaper that you really like and that will hold up. Plus it’s about that time of year for outdoor stuff to go on sale.

Certain things are so hard to find that are a great quality and outdoor furniture seems to be one of them along with barstools for some reason. Not sure if you have an Ikea but check them out too. Prices are great and the quality is pretty great for most things. As always there is always an exception.
