Okay, so this is my first Halloween as a mom. My husbad is in the military and I’m taking our 6-month-old (dressed as Princess Leia) to our squadron’s Fall Fest, which is the family Halloween party. I need something that’s kid-friendly (ie. doesn’t look like a hooker). I’m still carrying some baby weight, so I’d prefer something a little forgiving. I found 4 that I like but… I don’t know. I’m kind of “meh” about it this year.
These are the 4 I’ve found so far:
I don’t even really know if I’m committed to any of these so if anyone is bored at work and wants to go on a hunt, feel free. I need a size large and I don’t REALLY want to spend more than $50, but I’d go to $60 if need be. Cheaper the better.

I really like the greek goddess one but I also really like the witch. Classic witch for halloween always works in my opinion!!

Greek goddess. I remember a friend of mine wore it when she was “not as skinny as she used to be” and it looked amazing on her! Plus, the white goddess costume will complement the Princess Leia one your daughter is wearing.

Of the ones you have up there I love the Greek goddess.
Are you completely opposed to matching with your daughter as far as Star Wars theme goes? I think Queen Amidala would be a cute costume since she is Leia’s mom, and it is forgiving as far as fit goes.
There are a ton of sites in google shopping that sell this costume for $35-50 depending on the site!

I also wanted to say, go as Padme!!

I wore the greek goddess costume you have up there. For the same reason, I was going to NYC for the Halloween parade it was going to be cold out, I didn’t want to look like a hooker and I had put on a bit of weight. It was the most comfortable and sexy costume I had ever worn. Only thing is its really long. I am 5′ 7″ and I had to pin the thing up a few inches at the waist in order for it to not drag on the ground (heels might have fixed that but I wore sneakers to be comfy in the parade). Beside that it was hard to find a bra to wear underneath that didn’t show so I just elected not to wear one. A strapless might work though if you wear the buckles on your shoulders or if you pin up the front really well. Here’s a pic of me in it but I’m stepping on the bottom by accident. There is a pink version of it that my friend wore that night and that looked good too. Oh and funnily enough a few nights before I wore to a party with FI and he wore his old military uniform. It looked good together though. Another bonus is that it isn’t a really popular costume. At the Halloween parade we only saw 3 other people wearing it, but there were a ton of Belles and other Disney characters, as well as sexy witches. I tried on a costume similar to that poodle skirt one but it was kind of blah.
