I had bloody noses frequently during my first trimester. If you're 10DPO, you should be able to test in the morning to see, or wait until your period is late and test then.
I'm not sure if it could be considered an early pregnancy sign. Nosebleeds/congestion usually don't start until your baby is a little bigger and your body is pumping a considerably more amount of blood each day :-) I'd say the tiredness is more of an early pregnancy sign, though! When do you plan on testing?
@bellamargot: yeah I was reading about bloody noses and pregnancy and I got both anwers (can be an early sign and that it doesn't happen until later). I'm not sure when I'll test, maybe I'll stop at the store tonight and test tomorrow morning. What do you think?
How is your chart looking? I got my BFP (although really faint) at 10dpo so it's worth a shot :-)
Well I'm new to charting, I just started this month and I'm only a few chapters into TCOYF, so i don't really know what you're looking to know about my charts but my temps have remained high since after ovulation and CM was dry but is now wet/sticky/crumbly, if that's what you were looking for. Which pregnancy test did you use for early detection?
I had a bloody nose every day when I was pregnant. Sometimes it wasn't much, others looked like I'd been punched in the face. Though they didn't start until maybe 9 weeks in, because my blood volume had to increase before they became a problem.
I don't know if its an early sign- but I had a bloody nose about every other day while pregnant- so maybe!
@sand dollar: yeah that makes sense, thanks!
@eeniebeans: thanks for your input!
I actually got a bloody nose the week that I found out that I was pregnant (maybe 3 days before my BFP). I had never gotten a bloody nose before so I definitely think that it was pregnancy related. :)
Well I took a HPT last night and this morning so I guess I'll just wait and see if AF comes on Saturday. A friend of mine took a HPT the week before she was supposed the get AF, again right after she was supposed to get AF, then again a week and half later and they were all BFN. She didn't get a BFP until a little over 2 weeks past when she was supposes to get AF, so I guess I'll keep that in mind. Her cycles weren't regular at the time though since she had gone off the pill 2 months prior. Eventhough we're not actively TTC, I'm not gonna lie, I was a little disappointed when I saw the BFN =/
I had 4 negative HPT before I had my BFP 4 days after my period was due. AND I also had a bloody nose for the first time in my life in early pregnancy (8 weeks or so).
So I think it's possible.
Now you weren't TTC, but your negative HPT left you disappointed... maybe you should talk with hubby and see if your timeline for TTC can be reevaluated!
@sarahmc521:I got nose bleeds with (just before) each period of BC, and when pregnant... 10DPO is too early to test usually, try in 2 days. Good luck!
@mommytobee: I know, I guess I didn't realize how soon I wanted to get pregnant! Once we started thinking and talking about it, we started getting excited. The only thing that's holding us back is school, I graduate with my bachelors in may so we said we'd hold off on TTC until the summer or fall. But then we moved it up to the spring, then possibly late winter, now maybe even sooner ;) He said the same thing as me, he was both disappointed and a little relieved, I think I was more disappointed though. Thanks for your advice =)
@PasteMoo: since this is my first cycle off BCP, that may be a sign for my period also, but it happened on monday and tuesday and I'm not due to get my period until saturday so I don't know. The package said 5 days before your missed period, but I wasn't relying too much on it since its so early, I figured I'd waste the money and try haha I'll try again on Saturday. The only thing is, I have a friend's wedding on Sunday so I'm already trying to figure out ways to hide that I'm not drinking! Thanks for your advice!!
anyone else experience bloody noses while pregnant?
Also, I finally entered all my charting info on FF, so here's my chart
(I'm new to charting so I haven't charted all of my symptoms as I haven't been paying too close attention to them yet)

I need your help ladies! I went off BCP last month and am waiting for my period (today is CD 20) and I ovulated last saturday CD 10 (I've been charting =)) and we DTD on that saturday but we use the withdraw method, were not TTC yet. Well I was chatting with my friend this morning telling her how I was running late this morning because I could not get out of bed (3rd day in a row) and she said, you're not pregnant are you and I said noo. So then today I go to blow my nose and it starts bleeding. This happened yesterday also. So I got worried remembering what my friend said this morning so naturally I googled pregnancy and bloody noses and all these things came up confirming just that. I don't usually get bloody noses, if I do, its in the winter , when I wake up after sleeping with dry heat. I don't have a cold, my nose is a little runny but nothing big. We don't have our heat on yet so that's why I'm worried. I haven't had any other symptoms such as breast tenderness but I did just go to the bathroom and was spotting just a tiny bit. So my question is, have any of you ladies experienced a bloody nose as an early pregnancy sign? Or have any of you experienced them with going off the pill? Or have any of you had them during you're luteal phase?
