I’ve been a long time “researcher”, but this is my first post. I am currently in the shopping phase for my wedding dress. I have tried on close to 20 gowns, and nothing I have tried on has been “the one”. The only gown that came close was the Hayley Paige Coco. When I came out of the changeroom, my BM’s also agreed that the skirt was just awesome and suited me perfectly. The bodice, however, is not my favourite. It has a corset top, and reminds me very much of lingerie. I also am not a fan of the price tag – over $4000 in Canada.
After trying on a few more dresses, and researching the days and nights away I can’t find anything that I like as much as this dress. Then I found another Hayley Paige top that I liked, as shown in the picture below:
So my creative juices got flowing, and I came up with this (please excuse my horrible paint skills):
What do you guys think?? I think I love it!!
Do you think that the thin lace that is trimming the ruffles/layers matches okay with the top that does not have any lace anywhere? I love the top of this dress, with the sparkly flowers, and the thin sparkly belt, but am not sure if these two styles come together as perfectly as I feel they do.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated. I am thinking of asking Jasmines Bridal Shop to make this dress, but am very nervous. I think this could be my dream dress!

I think the second hayley paige is beautiful on its own. i love that dress. if i wanted to pay thousands for a dress i would get that one!!!

I love the 2 dresses put together. Maybe you could have someone custom make it? It’s definitely gorgeous!

I love both of those dresses. However, I don’t think you should start lusting over a dress that isn’t available (lol).
Have you tried Wtoo Samina or Olivia? They remind me of the first dress you posted. Wtoo also has some separates where you pick a top and a bottom.

Thanks for comments ladies!
@babymakes3 – I haven’t but I will look right now! I know I shouldn’t be dreaming about something that isn’t real but I’m feeling pretty hopeless right now, lol. I’m definitely going to look up your suggestions.

Love both of them, and the one mixed together. All sooo pretty.

Jasmine’s will be able to make it for you, I am almost 100% sure. 🙂 The flowers on the bodice won’t be exactly the same, but they will look very very similar.
I don’t mind that there is thin lace on the skirt, but no thin lace on the bodice. But I will say that I really love the straps on the 2nd Hayley Paige, and I wouldn’t remove them!! 🙂 They really make the look work! Of course, that’s just my personal taste though! Do what you like!
Just to let you know, I sent in my deposit for a very customized Jasmine’s dress today. I did a ton of research (bees have been SUPER helpful), I ordered fabric samples and everything. I trust them to make my dress beautiful! From where I stand now, I am sure they’ll make me a gorgeous dress. Once I receive the mid-production pictures, and then the dress, I will be sure to post a review.

I was hoping that Jasmines would be able to do it. I’m happy to hear you think so too
I just feel like no other dress has made me feel this way. The skirt on the Coco is fantastic, I felt like a million bucks in it!
I also love the straps on the 2nd Hayley Paige, but I think I would look best in a strapless, I really appreciate your opinion! I’ve done some research on Jasmine’s, and I would say 98% of reviews have been great, with the odd few not happy. I think I’m going to contact Jasmine’s for a quote and see how I can go about ordering fabric samples.
I would love to see any progress on your dress, I love custom designs! I designed my e-ring by combining two designers rings together and I couldn’t be happier with the result. I feel like this dress journey may just turn to custom too!

@sparkle621: I second Jasmines being able to make the dress. Also I would ask James for his opinion on how he would combine the two. I also like the straps, but understand your desire to have strapless. Just not sure how the flowers on the top would match the lace on the skirt, this is what I would ask James about. But agree the skirt is absolutely beautiful.
I am keen to follow your journey…. keep smiling.

I think that looks amazing put together!!

Hey I’m just wondering if you saw the Fall 2012 Hayley Paige? There’s a dress that looks just like that one. It’s the beaded top with a poofy skirt.

@MrsSanchizel: Yes I did see that one! I think I like the skirt on the Coco (6205) better with the thicker lace trim all around. Thank you for the suggestion!
I contacted Jasmines Bridal Shop and I am 99% sure that I am going to use them to make this creation for me! I ordered fabric samples which I received last Friday, and I am very happy with the samples.
I’ve decided to go with the upgraded (designer) fabrics, and keep the premium craftsmanship since they will work to make it the way I want it if I am not happy. I think its fairly straight forward. The only concern that I have is the organza bottom being all one piece, and not separate ruffles if that makes sense.
I’m very excited thinking that I might get the dress I’m dreaming of! I know it’s not going to be exactly the same, and I am okay with that.

I am so curious to see how this progresses! I think if Jasmines can pull it off it will look amazing!!
