We heat embossed roses on our STD envelopes, and they made it through the mail without issue. Maybe you should try a test run and mail something to yourself just to see how it goes.
i thought embossing it pretty much made it permanent? maybe not.. i just started.. i sent out post cards with embossing on them i had used an embossing black pen... clear embossing powder and they made it through okay..
You should be okay with them unless they decide to travel around the world a few times. ;)
ours made it just fine! be sure to go over the design a couple ofextra times and avoid extra powder
Thanks! I ended up heat embossing them anyway and sent them out. We've started to get some of them back and no problems! A bit of advice though, I heat embossed the back flap of the envelope (white ink on dark gray envelopes). When I stacked the envelopes together to get them ready to mail out, I noticed that it was rubbing white onto the envelope next to it. So I suggest not to place them too close together...it's not a big big deal and could easily rub off...

Soooo I got this really cute custom address stamp from Etsy and was planning on heat embossing my return RSVP envelopes with it. Does anyone know if it'll hold up in the postal route? Will the embossing rub off on its way back to me making the address illegible?! Has anyone done this before?
