That looks like carpet from the venue. The tulle is probably just laying there anchored by the vases and columns. Guests are probably entering from the other side of the chairs/pews. Hope that helps.

In the pic you posted it looks like the fabric is being held down by the candles.  If your ceremony is outside you could do a couple of things.  One would be to weight down the fabric with some sort of vase or candle (maybe a vase with water and a floating candle or flower).  Or if the ground will allow, you could use something like a tent peg with a ribbon tied to it then tied to the fabric  to fasten it down.

It’s a small pic so hard to tell. The vases probably do have water in them if the flowers are reaL. I’d think about your guests though if you have a lot of elderly guests (or people known to be clumsy) they might trip on it. (Which is also why I assume/hope the guests enter from the opposite side of the aisle to avoid tripping.) if it’s indoors you probably don’t want to worry about anchoring it too much because there won’t be a draft or anything. If it’s outdoors you’ll need to worry about it.

i ifi guess if your dress is really poofy and the aisle is very narrow then your dress might snag and drag… All things to think about. what’s your ceremony venue like?

you can zoom in on the pic and see that there are orchids in the vases. The weight of the vase alone would be enough to anchor the tulle if they used silk flowers. if they used real flowers, they would have had to add water.

When you do this, the guests are seated from the side aisle. If you are concerned about the stability of the vases, you can always add some weight with stones, vase fillers, sand etc.
