OK bee’s, I need help.
I am making my official seating chart that will be poosted on a big piece of foam board at the reception space. I want to list people in alphabetical order.
I also need to list the “social units” together, as I will be also putting their meal choices (I know how many of which meals per “group” but not which meals for which specific people). Therefore I cannot list peoples eperately.
So how would I list social units alphabetically if they have different last names? Thanks!

@nutMeg13: How about by table instead?

@Jer72: That may be the best way to go. i just think that they look better when they are alphabetical. But otherwise, it would also look weird for the people with different last names

If you have a couple with 2 last names, I’d list them according to the person whose name comes first in the alphabet. This is totally arbitrary, but it means you can follow the same procedure for same sex couples and hetero couples….
John & Jane Adams
Joe Brown & Jill Zuckerberg
Amy Candy & Sarah Williams
I don’t know if that makes sense or not… but I think people will be able to find themselves…

I believe on invitations you list the woman first if the couple does not share a last name so this is what I would do.
