That inspiration picture you are showing definately has more than 6-9 stems in it.  I would be weary of what you expect from that few of stems in a bouquet.  Most bridal bouquets can have up to 30 stems in them.

If you are happy with the size from your stem estimation, you can try ordering flowers by the stem from a florist or you can try The Fresh Market or Whole Foods.

Look around to see if you can find a whole sale floral mart or a flower market near you.  It will be much better than ordering online as you will see what you’re getting.  But I agree with the PP that you should be weary of using only 6-9 stems in a bouquet… they will be quite small.

I think she meant that they will only sell 20 stems PER FLOWER TYPE, and since there are at least 4-ish types of flowers, she doesn’t need 80 stems for a couple of bouquets (the hydrangeas are especially large space fillers!). I would at least try pricing it out. I bet if you walked into a local florist, and had the flower type, nuber, and delivery date all written out, they could give you an estimate quickly. I would maybe shoot for a few more stems, though. It looks like those bouquets have upwards of 10 stems, just from counting in the picture.

OH.. well in that case, yes definately price it out at a few different places.  If you have a local floral market, that would be a good place to try also.  But don’t rely on any place you cannot place an order for the specific flowers you want ahead of time.

Blooms by the box often has lower number of flowers requirements for orders than a lot of other sites.

They also do free shipping but only down to MD and it looks like you’re getting married in VA, I’m not sure it would be worth it if you have to pay for shipping but it might be worth a look.
