I am a young bride-to-be and I am looking for a venue for my wedding. The biggest issue is that my fiance and I are paying for our own wedding and honestly we’re broke. We are trying to save, etc, but even still our wedding will have to be a very small budget (looking into $5,000-$10,000). The other big issue is that we are both Hispanic and therefore have very BIG families, whom will be very hurt if they do not receive an invite (plus we are actually very close to them). We were hoping that we could keep our guestlist at 50 when we first got engaged, but that was a hopeful bubble that almost immediately burst. We have created a rough draft list and we have arrived at amost 200 guests!!!! As romantic as eloping might be, I really want to be able to share this wonderful occassion with my family and friends. Any recommendations? What are the cheapest venues in the Central florida (hopefully close to Orlando), and maybe even some that migh allow outside caterers??? Any suggestions and recommendations would be appreciated.
Oh and we were Hoping for an outdoor reception (we want the ceremony and reception in the same place

Check out the Winter Park Farmer’s Market. Also, the acre (theacre orlando.com) off Edgewater Dr. Or Birdsong Barn in Titusville. Casa Feliz in Winter Park is nice too.

I’m getting married at the Maitland Art Center, and I think some of its venues would definitely fit your requirements. We’re having an intimate wedding, so we have a small location there that is very, very reasonable.
My cousin got married at Cross Creek Ranch–no idea what the prices are, but it was a bigger wedding and it was awesome!

eagle creek golf club was the cheapest out of the venues I was looking at. I don’t know anyone personally who has held a wedding there though

Orlando can be pretty pricey. Cypress Grove and Mission Inn are crazy. We live in Brevard County and were wanting to do our wedding in Orlando but chose to get married in Cocoa because it is going to be super cheap!

mrsjsea: How much was your wedding in Ccoa? What venue did you host it in? Also, did you have a beach front ceremony? I’m looking for a cheap beachfront wedding in Florida.
Thanks for your help!

amandaleaou: I’m looking at the historic dubsdread as well, how did you manage to stay in the 10,000 bracket with 150 people? Didn’t you use their caterer?
