The shape is the same on both, so if this shape looks good on you, I guess I would decide on the basis of: a little more conservative neckline on #1 or more skin in #2. Also, is there a difference in the qulaity and feel of the fabric?

I do like the deep lace hem of #2.

I have a JA dress (8681) & I loooooove it. Have you thought about buying online? I was surprised by the cost of my dress (I bought locally) and it was less than I expected and am sure I could have found it online for even less if I tried.

No, I bought new & ordered through a local bridal store. It cost $1400 Canadian, which I felt was a steal. As for alterations, I haven’t had mine done yet. However they say it will be super easy to do.

eta: They estimated 6 months for delivery, but took 3.

The quality of my dress is fantastic. I actually ordered it sight unseen, but did go check out other JA dresses to see the quality of fabric and construction. I feel that JA dresses are some of the best bangm for your buck.

Mine worked out to under £800. So if you love it & can find an online retailer that will ship to you, it is an option. Obviously there would be costs to import it, but you would certainly save a lot still I would imagine.

I know it’s not the same dress, but I cannot imagine that the JA you love would have a huge cost difference over mine.

JA states right on their website that they do not provide pricing, as they allow retailers to set pricing based on their location amd market.

I would check pricing through BestBridalPrices.com.  I am in NO WAY affiliated with them, nor do I receive any sort of remuneration for my recommendation – I’m just a happy customer!  They saved me quite a bit of money, as my local shoppe wanted to charge me a “fat tax” for the size 18 dress, and the on-line price was about $200 less than local.  BBP has a brick and mortar store in Illinois, if I remember correctly.  They ship internationally, and for probably not a lot of $$.
