So, I have met with five different women and they all seem competant in their fields (otherwise I wouldnt have bothered to meet with them). I have been planning and gathering ideas for my wedding for years…and I just got engaged this past Christmas, lol. I have an eye for design and creative elements that I would like to implement, but I still want a planner that can bring my ideas together to see the “bigger picture” and do all the “heavy lifting” if you know what I mean. My mother will be paying for the planner, but she has not been very helpful in selecting the best one for me that also adheres to whatever her budget is, (to be quite honest I’ll probably end up paying the deposit and she paying me back as I pay them the lump sums). FYI: I am having a Black Tie, 200 guests wedding in a church with seated reception at a historic house with a $35,000 budget that my fiance is mostly paying for.<br /><br />Planner A
Full planning is about $6,600
Partial planning is $2,500
Young and new to the planning field, but I like the examples of her work. Her inventory of decor items are availble without any extra charge with either plan.<br /><br />Planner B
Full planning would be $6,000
Day of Coordination $1,500
Really liked her personality and if I had to choose the best planner solely based on previous work I would pick her. I am unsure if her items are available for rent or if they are included.<br /><br />Planner C
Full planning is $4,200
Partial planning is $3,000
Very well-known and renowned planner in the area. She also provides some decor item without extra charge.

I really enjoyed the conversation with this planner. Out of all the planners I believe my consultation with her was the longest. She has some decor items that are available for rent in addition to her fees.

The biggest pro for this planner is that she is the cheapest full planner, however after seeing the prices of everyone else I am worried that I may get what I pay for in this instance. My question is will the decor items that I will have to rent or purchase outweigh the savings by hiring her? The examples of her work I have seen were nice (not quite to the same caliber as Planner B, C, or D) but suffiencent nonetheless which could have been budget differences. The con is that she is the only planner that does not have an inventory of decor items to rent or otherwise.
