I need help deciding about my dress- this is a sample dress, that I bought off the rack.
As I imagine it happens to some brides, I felt pressured and took the decision too fast. My wedding is not until September 2014
I have it at home, and I am not sure if I like it anymore! the dress comes with this vow at the front- which first I liked and now I feel is too big! I always dreamt in lace and a flow at the bottom… And this dress doesn’t have it.
I am new at this, maybe I am just nervous to had made a decision so fast.
as you can see in the pictures, the dress is several sizes big (it’s a size 12, my guess is that I’m a size 6 in bridal size).

It’s hard to say when it’s so big. In the picture it doesn’t look great, but I really think that’s b/c it’s too big. Also, I’m not a fan of that big flower.
The thing is, if you’re not happy with it, and it’s not too late, I’d keep looking. You should LOVE your dress, don’t you think?

It’s so hard to tell when it’s obvious that you’re swimming in your dress, it’s way too big for you. I don’t like the big bow/flower in the front, is it detachable? Try taking it off if you can do it yourself and see how you feel about the dress without the bow.
I think the sash is also too wide, it chops you up so that your torso looks disproportionate to you legs, i. e. way too short.
I’d try removing the whole thing and take it from there. If you still don’t like this dress, you can always sell it and buy a new one. You’ve got plenty of time and it can’t hurt to look, right? I agree with the Prahajess, you should love your dress.

I think you’re sufficiently far out from your wedding to warrant looking for another dress. I think the dress could be really nice in your size and without the big flower, but even then you may not love it.

The flower thing is…erm…not my taste, but I love the dress on you otherwise! It is flattering and sweet.

It’s hard to picture it without the flower, which I really think is doing a disservice to you and the dress.

@queenbee82: I don’t love the flower, but the dress itself is lovely. I also bought a sample dress and had major regret trying it on when it was too big. Once it fitted me it changed my whole opinion.

I love your dress! I also think that the flower is a bit big. I’m almost thinking the dress could use a blingy sash!

I had the same situation as you!!! I had huge regret, bought too early ect….
In the case of your dress… I think it is large on you. Maybe once it is fitted you will like it more? Also, the big flower appliqué on the belt is a bit large… Again…. This is just my opinion.
My biggest advice as a bride who hAd regret, and found a new dress….follow your heart!!!! Don’t worry about what friends/family will think.

@queenbee82: I like the shape of the dress ; it does look way too big, but I’m sure once the alterations are made, this dress will be stunning. You definitely have the shape to wear this fit and flare dress !
But I honestly don’t like the big flower/bow, at all. :/ You’re so small, it takes all the attention off you. It’s disproportionate. I would change it to a thinner ribbon (or flower if it’s the look you’re going for) or belt.
Other than that I love your dress.

I agree that the dress will look spectacular on you with a little alterations and perhaps a new belt. Try not to worry, you’ll look great in the dress. So pretty!

I think the dress is pretty, and perhaps when the dress fits you properly you’ll iike it again. Honestly, the fit of the dress is just as important as the look of the dress. Hope it all works out! 🙂

Thank you bees for your responses! each of your responses were so helpful
I have decided that the flower /bow is definitely OUT!
I’ll take a look to other options and let you know how it goes.
