Please help me... I love these two dresses but my sisters and mother love the second one. They don’t even like the first one bit. They said they believe my FI would love the second one better and he said I can have only one dress, so I have no choice but to choose.
Please help me decide.
Thanks.

Do you have any pics of you in the dresses? I can't tell what would suit you. Illusion necklines like on dress #2 suit some people but look horrendous on me so I would vote #1 even though from the pic I like #2 more. Both are pretty though
Oh wow I love dress 2 but I'd have to see them both on to pick but based on the model photos dress 2 for sure!!
@Cyri: sorry!!! i live in Nigeria-really far- so there's nowhere i can get these to try out. i'll just have to order something blindly and pray it looks good.
I think I prefer dress 1, but it will depend entirely on how they fit you. But they're both beautiful.
Can you tell us about your wedding? I think these dresses go to very different events, so I can't decide! The first is an outdoor fete, could work for day time as well, and the second is fancy ballroom in the evening!
@mjoyelle: Well, most Nigerians love grand events and I think i'm not that different. church wedding, indoor reception, a lot of decoration, at least 300 people(uninvited people always come to weddings here), a lot of food, dancing, music, noise... I think that's some of it. lol
both of them are amazing !!!! Are there Pics of u in them ?
@asscherlover: i'm 5'9'' and i'm probably like a stick- not so good here coz most nigerian men love volumptious women so I was lucky to find a man who doesn't mind the fact that i'm scrawny and bony.
@com4rt: they are VERY different. If your wedding is going to be gorgeous with lots of decoration, I say dress #2. If it's more laid back, natural, yet still elegant, dress # 1.
They are both soo beautiful and I honestly believe that you will love whichever one you choose :) GL!
Well I really dislike illusion necklines, not sure why, I'm just not a fan. Plus #2 seems pretty see through on the bottom, so if you go with it, I'd suggest a slip. I'm also not a fan of diamond shape right in the middle.
My vote is for dress #1. Seems more suitable for a church wedding too.
My question is, if everyone is voting for dress 2, why are you still questioning it? Do you secretly love dress 1? From your thumbnail picture I think you would look gorgeous in either of them, go with your gut! Are you going for elegant, timeless and classy? Then dress 1. If you are going for classy with an essence of vavavoom ;-) Dress 2.
@SweetGrass876: i do love dress 1 but everyone prefers dress 2. I want the FI to love what I wear too.
Voted #2, super sexy and I KNOW it would look omg vavoom stunning on you and your skin tone based on your thumbnail pic. I personally would really love for you to wear #2 and want to see pictures of you wearing it
@com4rt: Seeing the back only makes me love dress #1 more! Remember this when you're trying to pick your dress: This is YOUR dress. You're going to look lovely in whatever you pick. Yes, #2 is sexy and I am sure your FI would love it, but linguere is ALSO sexy and I'm sure your FI will love that even more ;).
However, I think your FI will love you in dress #1 more than #2 to be honest. You will be HIS bride and you will look like his bride too. FI can see you in a sexy dress any time of year, but he'll only get to see you as HIS bride ONCE.
With that said, chose the look YOU want for your wedding day. While it is nice to consider other's, you'll be the one wearing it and you will be the one with these pictures for the rest of your life.
@com4rt: Definitely the second one then. Its will make you look like you have more curves.
I like dress number one for the description that you gave of your body type. Dress 2 is very nice but unfortunately, if you are buying online you may want to go with the one that you know will look great on you. Its the "safest" choice(in my opinion) but it just happens to be absolutely beautiful so you can't go wrong.
My age (50's) may be a factor here, but #1 looks much more "bridal" than #2, to me. The second one is a beautiful formal gown, but does not look appropriate for a church wedding. In the end, YOU are the one who will be wearing it, not the others in your family who may prefer a different look. Good luck!
@com4rt: Well--this is so fun becuase you are beautiful and these dresses are so fabulous!
If I were your mother I'd probably want my little girl to be in the pretty, romantic, and flowing dress of #1. It's girly and lovely. I think that you love it too.
But since I am not your mother I have to say--sweetheart, that second dress is super wow. I mean it is incredible! But I also agree with PP that you can wear an uber sexy dress any time. On your wedding day you should feel however you want to feel.
And if that #1 dress with its flowy romantic fabric makes you feel like a romantic bride, go for that.
The second dress is jaw-dropping, but it really would have to be worn by someone who has all the right curves in all the right places.
Is this you?
If Ellie Saab made a plastic bag dress, I would wear it. My vote is for #1.
When I first saw the two dresses it was very quick, #2 for sure. But...it really depends on how they look on you and how you want to look/feel as a bride. Dress #1 looks sweeter and more innocent, but depending how it looks on you it may still have a bit of sexyness.
I would go with the first one. Number two is totally see-through which does not seem appropriate for a church wedding plus I think most grooms would rather see something elegant and classy (like 1) than be able to see (and everyone else too) EVERYTHING!
#1 is more bridal, since you are getting married I would say #1. Both beautiful thou
@wbg21: I could go for #2 because quite a few churches in Nigeria are not so conservative and mine is one of those that are quite forgiving
If you have on a garbage bag, that man is going to think you look amazing on that day! You can't loose which ever you choose.
@com4rt: Go with your gut. When you are most confident it will shine through. Don't second guess yourself. I may be a bit biassed, the key hole back was my dream dress style. The lace is so delicate and timeless...but i'm a vintage chic. Step away for a few days don't look at the pictures, when you come back...if you are still leaning towards a particular one, go with it girl!
They are both super pretty. I prefer #1 because it looks less blingy.
@com4rt: I personally like #1 better because it is more classic looking. Number 2 doesn't seem bridal to me. Although it is beautiful it looks like something a celebrity would wear to the Oscars.
