I'd start by going to your local mall and hit up every dress store. That's how we found my bridesmaid dresses. We literally went into every store that sold dresses. If you can't decide on the colour, shop first and see what you find. If you find dresses in both colours, put your MOH's in one colour and your BM's in the other colour. If you can only find one of your colours, put everyone in that.
We found my BM's dresses at Melanie Lyne. They were on sale for $109 regular $245. I only have a MOH and 1 BM. Both their dresses are the same. But I think I'm going to give my MOH 2 gerbera daisies and the BM 1 to make them a bit different.
The options are overwhelming, huh? :)
You can have your MOHs in one color, and the rest in the other color. Or if all the ladies prefer one color over the other, you can set the MOH apart by throwing in different accessories (sashes in the other color, gaudy necklace, different hair-do/addition of a hair piece, etc).
It might be fun to take a group trip to a local bridal store so that your bmaids can check out what color and shapes they like better. Maybe go to a David's Bridal since they have a lot of styles and sizes, versus a bridal store where bmaid dresses cost $200+?
Most of my bmaids ended up buying their dresses at Nordstroms (JS boutique) for around $100. For my sister's wedding, we got the dresses in the LA fashion distrct. Maybe they have something similar in Chicago.
Good luck!
ok well i dont know where you live but it is prom season here and that means all the stores will have formals on sale and after prom you can get them super cheap especially if your bms are small sizes, thats what i did and wound up paying around $50 a piece some even cheaper and they all looked great and matched. i would definetly check out that option!
Hmm. We have similar taste. Mocha always looks great in pics next to the flowers. It makes them pop. It alswo looks great next to the bride. It It is a great contrast and it makes you pop in your pics as well.

okay so we are 8 months away and i have not chosen my bridesmaid dresses. These are 6 of my BFF and I can't decide on even the color they should be. My wedding colors are Mocha, Champagne, and Gold. I would like them to be einexpensive, one of them gets married 2 months later, we will all be BM's in her wedding so i know the costs will add up for both. Do i have them in Mocha or champagne? SHould my two MOHs be in one colro and the rest in another? WHAT to do?????
this is really freaking me out any suggestions.
