Why not just give them a color and let them pick out their own shoe? That way it could possibly be something they have already or something they will wear again? That's what I'm doing with my ladies!
Thanks Candy_Nee I have tried that but my ladies do not have clue either.
Oh no! Maybe just a silver strappy heeled sandal or something. I think a pump or even a peep toe will make for sweaty feet in August. Especially if it's a long dress.
I think a silver shoe would look gorgeous with it! How about something like these...

@Candy_Nee: I didn't think about the sweaty feet. Good thinking
@PrncssDva: My other colors are a darker plum/eggplant color and champagne. I don't think champagne would be a good color for shoes with this dress. Thanks fore link.
@clarebee: Those second shoes could actually work for my ladies...especially since its silver and a natrualizer too. Thanks!
I may be way off but here are the shoes my bridesmaids are using. They are Liz Claiborne and they found them at DSW shoe warehouse. They all chose them because they thought for sure they would wear them again and they are really nice. These are in platinum but they come in other colors too.
Just my two cents.....
that dress is fun! my bridesmaids are also wearing a floor length gown, in bright blue though. i think they're buying green shoes! maybe pick a loud color and let them go for it?! it's not everyone's taste, but i think it's super fun.
Silver would look very pretty. Since the dresses are floor length let them pick out their own shoes. That is what I am doing with my girls.
What did you decide on? The dress is gorgeous!
silver strappys! could you maybe just tell them silver strappy open toed and they can pick out their style themselves?
@ clarebee: I decided to go with a silver open toe shoe. So I hope to show you pictures of the shoes as I see them. Thanks everyone for your help!

Hi Ladies,
I need help! The brdiesmaid dresses have already been selected but I have no idea what kind of shoe they should wear. I have attached a picture of the dress. It is floor length, taffeta material and in the color of bordeaux (its a wine/purple color). They will be wearing matching bolero jackets as well. I thought about silver or black colored shoes but I am unsure as to what style of shoe would look great with the dress.
Thanks Ladies!
