Hey Monica~ There are many good venues in LA that are affordable... There are a lot of helpful sites like herecomestheguide.com or projectwedding.com. You can also use the Knot or Wedding Channel too. Some of the cheaper places i found was Yamashiro in Hollywood, the Reef in Long Beach, or Flintridge Country Club in La Canada.. (these are all ceremony+reception places) Check some of those locations out!

I also suggest the Lindley-Scott House and Villa del Sol del Oro as budget options.
I thought the Brookside Golf Course in Pasadena was a nice option when I visited them.
Another venue that was pretty budget friendly was the Hilton in Costa Mesa, near the airport.

How many guests are you expecting? I had a ceremony at the Pacific Asia Museum courtyard and it was very nice but they only hold about 120.
I know someone whose daughter was married at the Turniprose in OC..they said it was the best wedding ever...here's the site:

or check into local studios or photo studios for sites. I thought the patio at the Jim Henson company was really sweet, and affordable.
Monica, since you are looking for not too expensive, check out the Kyoto Hotel, formerly the New Otani--they have a waterfall and an amazing garden that you can marry in. Because the ownership just changed they have lost a lot of japanese clients, but since you are not asian...you probably dont care. It is beautiful you could probably lock in a good price now!

Hi im new to this thing so im really not sure how this works! but my name is Monica nd im looking for a ceremony venue and a reception venue!!!!!!! Im looking for something simple and not too expensive but all ive found is really expensive venues!!!!!! im getting married in june of next year so i need to start searching for the venues now!!!!
