So we chose the tuxedos & all that months ago….before I even had my dress. It’s now occurred to me (3 weeks before the wedding, lol) that my dress & the vest/tie color I choose for FH might not work!! Ugh. Opinions please ladies?? Thanks!!
Right now he is wearing a WHITE vest/tie combo (first pic below)….my dress is pure silk, so it’s called a “diamond white”….it’s not exactly ivory, but it’s definitely not white-white, either. My colors are hot pink & orange, so the guys are wearing tangerine vest/tie combos & the girls are wearing hot pink dresses.
Here’s an ivory option….
And here’s a silver option…
Here’s another option “Platinum”…
Here’s my dress…

I think the white would be fine 🙂

So funny, I just went through this myself and decided on the white vest. Actually the very same white vest, haha. Tuscany, right? I think the white vest definitely looks a lot better with the white dress shirt. My dress is actually considered ivory, but I would call it more of a soft white and the swatch looked great with the vest. Whenever I’ve seen dresses in “diamond white” they still look white to me, so you should be fine.

Hahaa yep it’s a Tuscany I believe. 🙂 Yeah you’re right, I didn’t think about that but if he wore an ivory vest/tie a white shirt would look weird…and I don’t think he should be in all ivory….their ivory shirt @ men’s wearhouse is like, super ivory. Haha. Ok, so maybe I shouldn’t stress about this after all then lol. Thanks girls

My dress is diamond white was well — I still think the “white” tux is the best match! Don’t want something to appear too yellowish like ivory might, or dingy (like silver might) next to your beautiful dress!! 🙂

I’m saying Platinum… Looks very sharp to me and breaks up a white shirt, white vest, white tie look…

Yeah, the ivory there is super yellow and would look yucky next to your white dress!
