Have you been to a dr? Maybe try an eyedrop that contains a vaso-constrictor? It may reduce the redness and make it less obvious.

Hey, I had the same thing. Do you know how you did it? I did it by accidently pinching my eye whilst taking out my contact lense! It didn’t hurt but did give me a shock and a big red blob there afterwards. I went to the opticians to get it checked out because I was worried. He said no damage done but that it would take 2-3 days to fade. I have to say it did take a lot longer than that to fade but it did eventually go completely.

If you have had it checked out for safety then I don’t think there’s much else you can do except for letting it fade on it’s own ๐Ÿ™ Although 19 days does sound like quite a long time…but as long as there’s no damage there, what can you do?!

I found that it faded out slowly a bit like a bruise. Are you noticing it fading and becoming more dull red/yellow-y/brown-y in colour rather than bright red?

I would try not to panic. You still have a week and it sounds like it’s getting a lot better: I bet in a week’s time it will be virtually unnoticeable.

I would call the doctor again, or perhaps a different doctors. Worst case, have your photographer photo shop it out of up-close pictures that you want to print. I’m sure it won’t be noticeable in most of them though.

oh no! i did the same thing the last year – mine happened because of a bad dream!

I left it alone and it cleared up by itself in 2 weeks, but it faded gradually. is yours still bright red 19 days later? if so I would definitely go and see an optician – if it’s still bright red there could still be bleeding, rather than just a pop of blood on the surface.

hopefully in another 7 days it should have calmed down a lot more.

I think by the time your wedding comes, it will be gone, or at least barely detectable. If it was all over half your eye, and is now just a spot, in 19 days, well, in 7 more I bet it won’t be visible– if it hasn’t disappeared entirely, I bet it’ll be all but invisible except for very close up.

Go get some exercise- that’s the very best way to deal with stress! And getting your circulation going may help your eye to heal faster. ๐Ÿ™‚

This was my eye. About half of what you said and it sorted itself out in less than 2 weeks. If yours is a lot smaller than this now, it should be okay in a week!

Fingers crossed for you ๐Ÿ™‚

I can completely understand that you’re stressed! Perhaps you could go and see an optometrist, as it has been such a long time since it happened. Don’t think they can do anything about the colouration, but I would at least feel a little calmer if I knew there wasn’t anything wrong with the eye. As for it just showing up, have heard that they are sometimes caused by a hit to your face while you’re sleeping. Crossing my fingers that it will be all gone before the wedding!
