Does your FI want diamonds?  If not you may only be able to have matching metals

Does your band have a curve to allow it to sit flat?  I agree, if your FI doesn’t want diamonds (and/or if your band does curve) you might have to compromise…

This is a toughie!  What does your wedding band actually look like? Does it have diamonds?  If yes, what is the setting for the diamonds?  If not, is the band patterned with milgrain or designs?

@ForeverAndEverAfter:  I think the best way to help you is to see a picture of your band and try to help you find the closest looking one in a mens band. It all depends on what he likes and is comfortable wearing though. I wanted ours to match exactly but it didn’t work out so sometimes you have to meet somewhere in between.

Why do they have to match? Your FI spent the time to find a ring that suits YOU perfectly – why should his ring not suit him? You can match them in the same metal and engrave the same phrase or something in them but do they really need to match?

Here are two that would complement your ring.

If those aren’t matchy enough for you, you could always get matching titanium bands or something.  They’re durable, not too expensive, and it would be nice for you to wear on days you don’t feel like wearing your delicate ring and wedding band.  Otherwise, they don’t have to match.

I agree.  Personally I would be looking at my FI weird if he wanted to match mine.  Never been a fan of men’s wedding bands with diamonds though, they just don’t seem masculine to me, but just my opinion.

I wanted ours to match too, I don’t know *why* it just seemed to be sweet. However, since he’s allergic to gold I didn’t have high hopes. I had him choose his band first, which is a plain titanium band. Then when I went browsing for mine I tried to find one that matched his that suited me, and got lucky.
