- Wedding: September 2012
I’m having such a tough time trying to figure out the perfect dress! I’m pretty picky when it comes to choosing 1 dress, let alone a wedding dress. It’s really difficult to judge how you’re really going to look in your dress size.. when all I’ve tried on are sizes 8-10. I’m a size 0 petite.
So here is my situation… I purchased/ordered a David’s Bridal WG3239 dress in June for $824 which my mother offered to buy, and now ended up going to waste because I had my eye on another dress. So I put that up for sale in the hopes that I could make another bride’s dream come true (http://classifieds.weddingbee.com/topic/davids-bridal-size-0-petite-wg3239). In the meantime, I’ve been oogling on the Watters Sydney Gown dress in Ivory/Oatmeal for quite some time and was hoping that I could find a used one at an affordable price. With no luck, I recently went to another boutique in search of a similar dress and found one! That is the Casablanca 1900. And of course, I made a deposit for it because I was concerned that the dress wouldn’t come in time for my wedding in September 21, 2012. Then, a day later I got an email that someone is selling the exact Watters dress i was looking for! I thought I had lost hope with that dress. Immediately, i picked up the phone and called the boutique if there is a way to refund the money. But to no avail, they weren’t able to make a refund because it was a rush order and the money had already been wired…. I completely regret the desperation and my quick decision.
Now, I’m in a deep deep disappointment. I like the Watters Sydney, but I also would like to see myself in the Casablanca 1900 in my size. I am tempted to purchase the Watters Sydney, while the Casablanca 1900 is going into production. It would be nice to try on both in my size and see which one looks the best, but at the same time I’m concerned I would not be able to sell neither dress. Since I had my eyes on the Watters Sydney for quite some time, I just have a feeling that I will end up choosing that one. Making the half-paid Casablanca 1900 to go up for pre-sale until the dress arrives.
Please help… what should I do? Is anyone interested in the Casablanca 1900? It’s a beautiful dress, but I am not going to keep 3 dresses. Would love to have the spent money to return and help out another bride with her dream dress.
