Hi Bees! I'm really stuck between two dresses and I need to decide ASAP! They are both such different dresses, but I love them both for different reasons! I want to be a classic, elegant bride that really makes my guests (and groom!) say "WOW!" when I'm walking down the aisle.. Which of these dresses do you think would be best for me?
Dress 1:
Dress 1 again:
Dress 2:
Dress 2 again:
Dress 1 looks amazing on you! Rock that body! :)
Posted in your other thread too.
Dress 1 looks AMAZING on you.
Dress 2 makes you look larger than you are. Still looks very nice, but not as flattering.
PS we are date twins.
Definitely dress 1. It looks absolutely stunning on you!
Normally I prefer form fitting dresses, but I actually love this ball gown on you! It's really unique and I would totally get that one!
Edit: Not sure what the PP's mean about it being less flattering. I actually think it's more flattering on you... It makes your waist look even tinier than it is :)
They both are beautiful dresses, but #1 really complements your figure! And I love the peek a boo lace :)
I agree that dress 2 isn't as flattering as dress 1, but I can see why you like dress 2 - it has this very romantic feel that dress 1 doesn't have.
You don't look bad at all in dress 2 - it just doesn't show how little you really are.
So, if you want romantic go with 2, but if you want flattering go with 1 :)
I agree with @KatNYC2011 the first dress looks amazing on you, the second is more "romantic" but doesn't show off your gorgeous figure as much!
I agree with most of what's been posted. Both dresses are classy. But I think you get lost a bit in dress 2, whereas dress 1 really looks like it was made for your body.
I respect everbody's point of view, but I don't understand why the majority voted for number 1. Number one is very pretty and form fitting, but I've seen similar dresses. Number 2 is spectacular! When I saw it I went WOW, she looks stunning!
Either way, you look very pretty in both, so whatever you choose will look great :)
@aguilpul: Yeah, I had the exact same reaction! That 2nd dress is amazing.
Seriously, OP, you don't look at all "lost" in the ballgown like some of the other posters are saying. Like I said, normally I don't love ballgowns, but this one looks like its made for you! You said you want a "wow" dress.. this is it :) And... this is the strongest opinion I've EVER had in one of these dress threads!
I can see the mixed feelings.
I tend to agree with PPs that Dress 2 makes you look bigger than Dress 1, but that could be the result of them being samples.
So, which one makes you look "skinny" aside, I personally love the ball gown.
It's not that I don't like fitted dresses (I almost got one myself), it's more that the fitted dress seems like something I've seen on a million other brides, where the ball gown seems a bit more unique to me, for some reason.
That being said- tulle is really fragile, so if you think you're going to be outside much for pictures, or that you might have a clumsy cousin who will step on your train before you have a chance to bustle it, you might opt against the ball gown. It just has a LOT of tulle, and there's a high risk of something getting ripped.
@aguilpul: I agree dress 2 is a stunning and unique dress, but in dress two you are looking only at the dress, where as dress 1 I really see both the dress AND the bride.
OP I feel like you are wearing dress 1 whereas dress 2 is wearing you.
When I saw dress 1, I thought, "Ooh, another mermaid. Pretty." Then, when I scrolled down to dress 2, my heart literally skipped a beat. The draping of the tulle is SO gorgeous, and the beading is so unique. Although the first dress is pretty, and it does show off your figure, I think the second dress is absolutely stunning.
You are gorgeous in 1, it looks like it was made for you. I am not a big fan of the second :)
First one. Totally honest here- the first pic of the 2nd dress makes you look a lot wider than you really are, and does not flatter your body like dress 1.
@SoInLove37: You have a gorgeous figure, but I don't believe that the only way to flatter a great figure is to wear a form fitting dress. In my opinion, the second dress does not make you look wide. The tulle does add some layers but your shape means that you can carry that off without looking wide :)
I disagree...#2 does not make you look larger...you just are not showing off every curve of your body. You look thin and beautiful in dress 2. You dont have to wear a form fitted dress for your dress to be flattering now matter how much of an amazing body you have. YOu look great in both but #2 says wedding and you are having a wedding and you look so beautiful. :)
I like #2 better, definitely accents your waist, and it looks nice and light and free... #1 looks a little restrictive to me.
I almost always prefer a ballgown to a mermaid...I think that because I'm on the boards and reading wedding magazines so much, I'm starting to feel like it's the default style and I always go for whatever's not the most popular.
That being said, though, as much as I'd like to love the second one over the first one, on you, I just can't. Dress 1 looks lovely on you--well, they both do, don't get me wrong, but I think the first just looks even better.
#2 is just so romantic and has that WOW factor. Your waist is tiny...I think the 4th pic, the pose is making people say it isn't as flattering, but from the 3rd pic, you look amazing. The dress is so beautiful.
#1 is also nice, but like the PP, seen it before, but it looks fantastic on you as well.
Good luck!!
#1 is much more flattering... But the second is more romantic and "fancy". If you are going for the hotness factor I would choose 1, if you are going for the princessy feel I would go with 2. But I choose #1 as my fave! Good luck! :)
I love both! You've got great taste. But I would probably go with dress #1. Who is it by?!
I'm kind of torn. Dress #1 makes your figure look amazing because it showcases it. But Dress #2 is definitely "classy" and "elegant" which is just what you wanted. The first dress is also classy and elegant, but I feel like the second one has more of an original Wow factor. You can't go wrong with either :)
I think dress one is so beautiful and flattering! Dress 2 is nice, but like others said, does not flatter your figure as much! You look amazing in both, though!!
I love the design of #2, it's beautiful - but you look so glamorous and sexy in dress 1!!
I love dress 2! You look amazing. It has that romantic "WEDDING!" (it says "wedding") look to it. I love it.
PS- I think it depends what you want. If you want classic wedding and "wow" -I would choose dress 2. If you want to look hot/ sexy- choose 1.
PPS- They both look lovely though! You can't go wrong, you beauty.
@SoInLove37: Is the second dress from PoB in Ardmore? I'd recognize that place anywhere since I'm there a couple times a month!
