They're both gorgeous!!
But I'm all about some ruffles. And some Jim Hjelm.
I'm not really a fan of the second one... but the first one is dreamy!!!!!!!!!!
i LOVE the second dress.. it's such a happy dress for lack of a better word... i can imagine twirling in circles in that dress... have you tried either of them on, do you have pictures in them?
Hands down my favorite is the Jim Hjelm!

I'm in love with Jim Hjelm dresses!!! I voted for the first one, but hesitated for a while because the second dress is very gorgeous too! I don't think that you could go wrong with either of them :)
i love both...just a little teeny bit more partial to the monique...because of barbie...
Jimmy! I am wearing this dress for my wedding ! it is soooo dreamy and romantic! a realy show stopper!
I have to be honest. I love Jim Hjelm, and my sis wore a Jim Hjelm gown at her wedding and I almost picked one out all the way back when too..and it's gorgeous!
But I have to go with my gut on this one, and my gut says Monique all the way!
I love the idea of a darker ribbon at the waist, doesn't have to be brown, just in your colors as I think it's so darn slimming as an effect and the whole lines of the dress are just drop.dead.gorgeous.
You picked out two winners, and they're both lovely. But the one with the more 'oomph' is to me, the Monique Lhuillier.
I like the ML as well, but both are beautiful dresses. You're 2 inches taller than me and a size 6, so I'm sure you can do the dropped waist!
ooohh please please please choose the Monique! i'm sorry, i'm drooling over it :)
hey, wait, what month is your wedding? and what's your venue?
I love, love, love the Jim Hjelm! I think it is absolutely gorgeous (although the other dress is too)! But I just love all the ruffles! So beautiful!
They're both absolutely gorgeous, but I prefer the first one. I don't think you can go wrong with either one though!
I'm a HUGE Jim Hjelm fan! And I love the first dress, its even prettier in person!
Thanks for all the comments & votes! I just got a call from my bridal consultant and she is overnighting the ML dress for my appointment so my MOH, mom and dad can see me in both dresses this weekend! I am SOO freaking excited!
Bellini - Our wedding is in July 2010 in NJ :)
Love the Jim Hjelm! There's a bridal store on my jogging route that I pass every morning and that dress was in the window well before I got engaged... I loved it even then!
I LOVE the Jim Hjelm dress. It looks like it would be the most flattering on any woman, too. While I think the Monique dress is truly beautiful, I think it could easily overwhelm someone, whereas the Jim Hjelm dress would accentuate all the right things :)
I voted for Jim Hjelm.
Is there pictures of you in it? If you can pull off the Monique Lhullier Swan Lake, I think that would be perfect.
I love love love the tulle of the second one but not so much with the bow, the first is great as well!
MONIQUE!!! I can't believe that one is losing in votes! It was such an easy choice for me! I don't like the brown sash though, that would have to be changed :)
tenmylove-i couldn't agree more! i LOVE the Monique!!! and I am a huge fan of Jim but th Monique was such an easy decision here for me too!
the color of the sash on the jim on the monique and LOVE it!
Oh, ML's Swan Lake...if I could have any dress ever, this is probably the one I would wear... (except it looks horrible on me :-( Too curvy to pull off that look)
These are both beautiful, and you can't go wrong!
I think that Jim is a popular designer but personally I think that the Monique is an elegant one of a kind. The Jim is a little too tame, and slightly prom like. The Monique is something that is unforgettable. I think the other is kind of safe. I really hope that you get the Monique! ") Good luck!
I LOVE the first one and if you are 5"7 with dark brown hair you will look like the model!!!! lol

Hello Bees!
I've been in love with the Jim Hjelm dress below for about 4 months. I've gone to two separate appointments to try it on and for various reasons (shipping issues, etc) both times the dress was NOT at the shop when I arrived for my appointment I was completely devasted and in tears the second time and was thinking this was not for me because of the bad luck. However, I'm finally going to try on the dress this weekend and I'm so, so excited! Here is a link to the Jim Hjelm dress where you can see multiple views of the dress: http://www.jlmcouture.com/Jim-Hjelm/Bridal/Fall/2009/Style-8962
Because I've put so much weight on the Jim Hjelm dress being "the dress" I've been trying on dresses this week just in case I need a backup if the Jim Hjelm doesn't work out. So today I fell in love with the Monique Lhuillier dress below. I love how it's a fairy tale like dress. The one thing I'm hesitant about is the dropped waist. I also wanted to note that I'd wear this dress with an ivory sash and not the brown one that is pictured.
Since I'm not pictured in the dresses here's a little bit of info about me ...I'm 5' 7" and street 6 with dark brown hair. Any helpful thoughts and opinions are appreciated!
Thanks bees!
