I had a similar colour scheme for my wedding. The big things (Table clothes, chair covers, centrepieces, lighting etc) we had hired a decorator to do. It worked out well because she set EVERYTHING up and took it down as well. Most of the other decor we diy’d.
I got alot of the ideas for our diys from pinterest and etsy and just did them myself rather then pay an arm and a leg for stuff. It also made me alot more proud on the wedding day that not only did i create this vision, i also made alot of the stuff!
best of luck!
The hangers we sprayed with gold paint then covered in sparkles, sealed then sparkled again then sealed again. My sil then used some wire to make the names. They were adorable! My moh is actually using them for her wedding next month because she liked them so much!
The frames were from a dollar store, we just painted/glittered them to make them match.
Table cards were just gold glitter and pearl scrapbook paper from michaels.
The guestbook was diyed from extra fabric from the flower girl (sequins) and bm (chiffon flowers) dresses. The beaded leaves were leftover from years ago. I got them from gloryshouse on etsy.
the sign was made to match the card box, its just 2 pieces of wood, painted then glittered and sealed and then the letters are from michaels they were painted and glues on.
I found the frames for all our other signs in my moms basement. Wi her permission i painted them white, took out the glass and got some white foam board from michaels and metallic gold paint to paint whatever it is they were supposed to say.
the cake pops we had a baker make, then we just added some cardstock from our invites with each persons name and table number and used glue dots to attach it to the end of the stick
The quilt was made by my mom
The decorator created a drapping arch. My mom and i made the dream catcher from a hoola hoop spray painted white, a doily we crocheted and scrap fabrics.
This was the overall look of the hall with the lights on. The lighting definately gave the biggest effect.
Flower girl basket and ring bearer pillow were both diyes mostly from the fabric from the bm and fg dresses. My mom has a sewing machine that embroiders so she did the embroidery on the pillow. The flower on the basket i bought from gloryshouse on etsy ages ago.
We needed a card box that was fully enclosed, big, obnoxious and locked to deter thieves as weve been to a few weddings where cards “went missing”. So we bought a wooden chest from micheals, spray painted it then glittered it, painted the letters and glued them on, cut a small slit in the top, installed a locking mechanism and just for extra safett i put bells in it so if anyone tried to leave with the whole box theyed sound like rudolph….
Instead of having the guests click glasses to get us to kiss we did a giant dice. We found a red blow up dice at a party store, covered it in white cotton fabric and used gold sprakly fabric paint to paint the actions (bride and groom kiss, kiss another guest, hoola hoop, sing a love song etc.)
