I would say yes, it is positive.  Are you trying for a little girl? I’m personally not convinced those methods work, but I will hope for you!  There are other things you can try too, different foods and short penetration, etc.  You can also have the sperm “spun” to give an 80%+ chance for the gender you want, if you were very serious about one or the other.

@Treejewel19:  It absolutely never hurts to try!  And I know about boys!  My husband is one of 4 boys, his father is one of 4 boys, and his grandfather was one of 5 boys and 2 girls. And my husband’s brother has 3 boys and 2 girls (2 boys 1st) and I have a little boy.  I’m pretty sure the baby I am pregnant with now is going to be a boy too lol.  I hope it works for you!!

Yep, it looks positive 🙂 Just as a note, sometimes it might take two days to ovulate after getting a positive OPK. It happened to me this cycle. I am not sure what is the cutoff in days prior to ovulation to conceive a girl.

@Treejewel19:  I know you are trying for a girl, but really the best days to conceive seem to be 0-2, 0-1 and day of ovulation. I think it will not hurt to BD today and increase your chances of getting a BFP and who knows you might conceive a girl.

@Treejewel19:  Also you could get a long surge and get another +OPK tomorrow, hence putting you even further away from the actual ovulation day.

@Treejewel19:  looks it to me. Good luck trying for your girl! FWIW we BD on ovulation Day without shallow penetration since we weren actually trying and are having a girl!

@Schatzie821:  Just where exactly can you get sperm spun?  I chased many Internet leads on that very topic with no success.
