Thanks so much ladies for all of your input. I was afraid I was being delusional and biased in believing that my veil was not what I had envisioned so that’s why I started this thread (and many other threads on other forums). I wanted to see how others who aren’t involved in my situation see the veil as. So I really really do appreciate everyone’s input, opinions, and suggestions. I decided to email and let the company know that in order to see that I wasn’t being delusional I started threads asking people their opinions because I really wanted her to know that I wasn’t trying to be difficult and crazy.. I emailed the company this,
Hi (name here),
Thank you for trying to explain how to fuss around with the veil. I have tried to fuss with the veil and it still doesn’t look the same. I even let the veil hang straight for the past few days and there are still so many layers/pleats through out the veil. I think there’s too much fabric?? I took into consideration that perhaps I was just being delusional being that I thought the veil wasn’t like the inspiration veil and feeling like I should be able to get an exchange because you said yourself and your staff all thought the veil did look the same. Sooo, I decided to post a few threads on different forums I am apart of asking people on those threads to let me know if they thought the veil was similar or not to the inspiration photo. Here are the direct links to a few of the threads:

To sum those threads up, it is not just me who doesn’t think the veil isn’t what I had envisioned. I don’t know much about veils (obviously) but a lot of those girls seem to have ideas on why the veils don’t match up. If I still do not qualify for an exchange, I’ll pass on getting a new veil or adding new beads. Because either way the veil isn’t going to be my dream veil and I still won’t wear it.
And she wrote me back this,
Hi Missie –
I apologize – I hope that my emails are coming across friendly and I do want you to know we are willing to work with you. It can be hard to interpret “attitudes” from emails – but after reading the threads I got the feeling that perhaps they are being taken wrong.
From a technical aspect (which is how we tend to look at things) it still seams the same to us here at the workshop. However, if none of the suggestions have worked I’ll go ahead and authorize an exchange. We can definitely cut down on the fullness – that was cut at 54″ wide — here is a custom cut veil that is 34″ at the bottom – (but it is standard cut)– does this fullness look like what you’re looking for:

(or we can do anything inbetween)
If you can confirm the details for exactly what you would like – color, bead types, and length we can get a new order started. We will photograph and send pics of the exchange veil for approval before shipping. And then if you can send that veil back to us in a Priority box asap (within a couple days?) it would be greatly appreciated.
I do understand how pictures can be interpreted quite differently. I think I even saw in one of the threads, someone mentioned that the edging is scalloped (which it definitely is not) — but, that’s what they see and sometimes it’s hard to make eyes see the same thing 🙂 Anyways, I really do appreciate that you didn’t “put down” our business. Our reptuation is very important to us, we love what we do, and we do want to do our best to have happy customers. I do hope that we can please you.
Please let me know if you have any questions – and if you can send an exact list for the changes to be made we can get that going.
Needless to say I am a VERY HAPPY CAMPER!! I’m excited that she will also send photos of the new veil before shipping so I can approve it. I think that is a very wonderful touch!! I’m thrilled to be able to get an exchange!! Thank you everyone for all the input, opinions, suggestions, and support. I appreciate it.
