Don't worry-- it doesn't matter. I had an ivory dress, and white tablecloths, white flowers, white groom shirt, etc. People know that dresses come in ivory-- they aren't going to think you're just wearing a dirty white dress.
Hi/ my wedding gown is ivory and my cloths and shirts are also white. I have been having the same concern. I hate to change all my cloths and stuff because they will be borrowed and we dont have to spend the extra money. But certainly dont want to look yellow up next to all the white decorations. I was wondering how your wedding turned out with the two different colors or if you had any pics that I could see. I want it to be beautiful not awkward.

Hello all!
This is one of my first posts and I really would appreciate any help!! The good news is that I finally found my dress YAY! It's the CT258 Oleg Cassini model from David's Bridal, I simple LOVED how that dress fits. I never considered a ball gown or Ivory as a possibility but after I tried this on I completely changed my mind. Though I have not tried the dress in white and that was my preference I don't think I mind the dress not being completely white, it can still be ordered in white or ivory.
Now my problem is that I have read that if you wear an Ivory dress it is better not to have white decorations, but my ceremony & reception chairs will be white and so were my tablecloths but that would be easily changeable to a beige or ivory.
Question is does it really matter whether my dress is ivory and the ceremony chairs (also the groomsmen shirts) are white? I would hate that pretty dress to look "dirty" compared to any other items being white in the wedding when I'm walking down the aisle or just in general during the wedding!!
