I use the toe inserts from Dr. Sholls right now. They have the 'massaging gel' whatever that means. Feels pretty comfy though and my toes don't slide a lot.
I'd recommend some inserts like party feet and wearing them around in advance to get used to them. Often it's the ball of your feet AND your calves that hurt after wearing heels - especially if you don't usually wear heels.
I second what SparkleSpaniel suggests. I usually use Scholl inserts but sometimes they'll slip in the shoes so I definitely think testing them out is a good idea.
There are some insoles (that I've seen at Target) that "stick" to the inside of your shoe at the ball of your foot, or your heel, or even your arches. They relieve pain from those particular pressure points. And I agree that you'll want to test drive them so you know how to walk in them/don't slide around. :)
Thanks for posting this, soonerpsych. I know I'm going to want something in my shoes to keep my feet happy all day!
I use an arch support made for high-heeled dress shoes. I use a set of adhesive velcro dots, one on the support and one in the shoe, to keep them from slipping. They are essential for my comfort. http://www.superfeet.com/products/Women_s_3_4_High_Heel.aspx
Foot petals all the way. THat's what we recommend to all our customers and they love us afterwards for the tip! I'm serious. In fact, we recommend brides get half a size larger and put the petals in, and as your feet swell up, just take the petals off and they'll fit like normal! Try it with regular shoes and stand all day on them if you don't believe me ;-)
insolias "where science meets sexy" pretty darn awesome, I love that tag line . . . lol. I was shocked, I was able to walk around vegas in yummy high heeled boots all night!! Not sure where to get them other than online. http://insolia.com/

I need to get shoe inserts because my shoes just aren't going to make it all day for the wedding. I have to keep them on because I'm short and the dress is being altered to the shoe height.
What shoe inserts have you used? My shoes are peep toe high heels by the way.
