My dress finally came in. I ordered it blind (mori lee 1862). I ordered the dress in a size 12 because I’m hippy. Well I go to try on my dress when it comes in. It’s a size 16. They said they took the one would be able to get in due to my wedding being really close. They agreed to split the alteration costs with me. Well today I went for my last fitying and noticed that my dress keeps bunching up at the top. I was told there was no way to fix it. They blame thrown the way the dress was made. is there anyway to fix it?

Do you have a pic?
It’s hard to make suggestions when you can’t see where the problem area is.

I bought this same dress! When we took my measurements each corresponded to a different size(way to make a girl feel out of proportion! lol), we had to order the largest (which was for my bust area), and as the dress is meant to be really fitted, when the dress came in, it looked awful! It sort of just fell away from my body and made my curves dissapear. A lot of the linking was bunching under the lace too because there was so much extra. I am hoping after alterations we will be able to bring the waist in a couple sizes so you can see some kind of curve again. It is a tricky dress to alter. I think your problems started when they ordered the wrong size dress, it is pretty hard to alter a dress down more than two sizes (or so I have heard). I would take your gorgeous gown to a more profesional seamstress, and just pay to have it altered from someone with maybe more experience altering this specific type of gown. I am SO sorry for all your dress troubles! The dress truly is gorgeous on you and you will look absolutely stunning on your big day!

did you ever get this resolved? I had my first fitting yesterday and had the SAME PROBLEM and I don’t know how to get them to see it as an important issue. Don’t have any pics yet…let me know how it turned out and what you did to fix!!
