I had a lot more wetness going on down there my entire pregnancy :/ like would leave my undies wet some days. It can’t hurt to give your dr a call though…the worst they will say is that it can wait until your appt.

in my experience this is absolutely normal. I would actually often have gushes. Amniotic fluid has a sweet smell if you really wanted to check but It is normal and hormonal.

@Evie19:  I’m pretty sure this is the progesterone suppliment. It happened to me too in the first trimester, every day, and it would make my heart stop if I couldn’t check why I was wet (I was thinking blood). Now that I’m off the extra progesterone it’s gone.

Had that. Twas discharge. Sucks.  Found changing underwear often helped more then wearing liners. Liners just didnt breath and everything got itchy.  So for awhile i just went through 2-3 pairs aof underwear a day. But it got way better by second trimester. I cant speak to the third yet. Im only 22 weeks

My doctor said a lot of discharge is normal…yay. 🙁  She said most women either wear pantyliners or change their underwear multiple times a day.

She did suggest put Desitin on your lady-bits to keep the wetness away.

@Evie19:  Sounds normal, and I’m currently 32.5 weeks along, it’s not going to go away. It’ll change in colour and consistency, and you’ll sweat like a wilderbeast. Damp undies is just my new norm. Soemtimes there is a slight odour, but I’ve been reassured by my midwife and family doctor that unless something feels off, it’s a weird colour, or is itchy, that it’s fine.

@Evie19:  I’ve bascially had a pantyliner on my entire pregnancy because of how wet everything is down in my lady bits. On the days I don’t wear a pantyliner I’ll end up changing my underwear because cold wet underwear never feels good. Plus in case you start peeing when you sneeze (snissing) or laugh later in pregnancy it’s always good to have something there to “catch” the pee. =)

I’m on progesterone suppliments (since week 5) and have been having a lot of wetness.  The nurse warned me before I went on them.  I have to wear panty liners.  I didn’t even think it could be amniotic fluid- OMG!  My baby is doing fine though, so I am going to pretend like I didn’t hear that (well, see that…).

Lots and lots of discharge is normal, it’s not going to go away anytime soon!
