- Wedding: August 2012
I’m going to need to cover some doors that are directly behind where the bridal party will be standing during the ceremony (In other words, the guests will be looking directly into those doors with the bridal party between the guests and the windows). It’s an afternoon wedding, so the indirect light coming in through the top half of the large wooden doors will significantly interfere with guests’ ability to see more than just a silhouette of the bridal party (it’s not direct sun, just outdoor light, but the interior isn’t brightly lit).
So far, the only low-cost solution I’ve come up with is renting something like this: http://www.anarpartyrentals.com/pipe-drape-c-104.html However, I have no idea what color they should be (wedding colors are navy blue and various lighter shades in the purple realm, with accents of ivory and mocha), and I fear fabric/colors could look very cheesy.
Any other ideas? Would sheer curtains maybe be enough? The space is about 10′ high by 25′ wide.
