I love Maybelline 24 Hour Superstay Lipcolor.  It lasts ALL DAY.  Even after eating lunch.  The Cover Girl long-wear lasts as well, but I find it more drying.  The Maybelline doesn’t crack on your lips.

It’s only about $13 at CVS, but right now, Ulta has it for $8.99 and if you buy one, you get one 50% off.

I like maybelline super stay too, but prefer their “14 hour” kind. it’s easier to put on, but it doesn’t dry down 100% so if you rub your lips together really hard you can slightly redistribute the color. you can also remove it by scrubbing with a tissue, you don’t need to use makeup remover. so after you eat, it’s easy to remove and reapply.

if you wear a darker color there could be a slight risk of transfer, but I think you could control that by blotting it after it sets. also make sure your SO is not wearing chapstick or anything. the oily texture in it will break down any lipstick. anyway, they’re inexpensive enough that you could try one out and see what happens.

I can’t stand the “all day” liquid colors because they completely dry and feel like paint. I’ve tried so many kinds, even expensive ones.  in my experience they do come off when you eat a meal.  it flakes off the middle of your mouth, which looks weird, and it’s super hard to remove and reapply. you have to use a makeup remover to do that, and then carefully reapply. who has time for that after the wedding dinner?

I used a make up forever HD lip pencil as my color with a gloss over. Seemed to work pretty well. Lots of people like the stains, I’m just not a fan myself

stains will work pretty well if you are not in the habit of rubbing your lips together a lot. but like longwear duos, I find them hard to control. if you use one that’s really dark, it will probably come off in the middle of the lips when you eat, and that looks weird. then when you go to reapply it’s hard to do it evenly. if you use a stain that’s a relatively subtle color, that issue might not be so noticeable.

I SWEAR by the Cover Girl Outlast. You just have to keep the top coat on. I put it on every day (for years) and it is still on late at night. I don’t find it drying at all and I have used it for years now. I tried the Maybelline and the Mac ones and they just don’t last for me. I like to do my makeup and hair in the morning and not have to worry the rest of the day. This is a tried and true for me.

I’m a big fan of lip STAINS. The absolute best one I have found is actually the Sephora brand lipstain, and it’s afforable (~$14), it’s worth giving a try for that price. After you put it on I suggest weaiting about 30 min for it to dry and set.

I love them. I have to use the Almay makeup remover pads to get them off. Soap and washcloth works too, I just like the moisturizing one. Let me know how you like them.
