Mindless job. Working 3 days a a week vs 5 is already a big perk, especially for similar pay. Add the joy of not having to commute two hours a day, and there is a clear winner to me. It’s like you’re choosing between your life and a job title.

I hate commuting with a passion so I would say pass. Also, I don’t know if this is a factor but if you do want to have children, having a job with those hours and a 1 hour commute both ways will be difficult.

If having a dream job is more important to you, by all means go for that. But if you value your personal time, I would pass. I took a position after grad school that looks great on my resume, but after commuting an hour each way for 3 years, I’m ready to make a change.
