I have heard great things about Bloch ballet flats. They’re pricey, but supposed to be very comfy and long lasting. Zappos has a selection and they do go on sale–I’ve seen lots of blush options!

Definitely go for leather, because a synthetic material is going to make your feet sweat more, and because rubber isn’t breathable, the shoes will end up smelling bad. If you’re going to go for the Aldo shoes, definitely check them in store, so you can check out the backs of the flats. For comfort (i.e. minimize the chafing), make sure the backs of the flats are soft, not hard. ^_^

do you have anywhere that dyes shoes to match. We have Rainbow Shoes here where you simply choose the style shoe and they will match it to your chosen colour?

Oh! definitely get the Blochs! They are super comfortable. I tried on the one in the first link you provided, and it was really comfortable. (Unfortunately the department store lost the other shoe … and it was their last pair … T_T) I also trust Bloch more because I knew them as the company that made my ballet shoes (actual dance shoes, not ballet flats) before I knew they also produced regular shoes. And then when I found out that they were producing flats, I really wanted a pair because they would take feet, and not just style, into consideration.

Yes it was! I remember the shoe attendent asking me what my normal size was, and telling me that the sizes run small.
