I have a 30K budget and wanted to find a nice venue in new york city or its boroughs, but everything that I like is completely out of my budget.
I wanted something with an access to the outdoors, aka rooftop, deck, or if not, with a waterview.
We plan to have 100 ppl tops.
Do you think its possible? Any suggestions? My fiance wants to have the wedding at the Pridwin but that place just seems too casual for me. Have you bees looked at it? What do you think?
My dream place: the palmhouse — but its over my budget:(

Here are a few that you could check out possibly:
Picnic House – Prospect Park, Brooklyn
Boathouse – Prospect Park, Brooklyn

That should defintiely be feasible! A few more to check out:
3 West Club (full service venue with a gorgeous terrace in midtown – also belongs to women’s national republican club, which made it a no-go for super-liberal Fiance and me)
Midtown Terrace & Loft (raw space with rooftop)
Battery Gardens (outdoor and waterfront).
Liberty Warehouse in Red Hook (outdoor and waterfront).

Try Bridgewaters at the South Street Seaport, Central Park Boathouse (might fit your budget in the winter) or Hudson Terrace.

Battery Gardens was my second favorite and very reasonable for a NYC venue. I think it woulld also be perfect for your size.
The Foundry in LIC is also awesome and great for the your size. It may be over budget though. :/

Thank you all so much. The liberty warehouse seems close to what i want. 30k is tops, we domt wanna go above and want to try to stay under 25k for venue. He went to the pridwin to check it out yesterday and came back saying he really loves it. I cant go since i am currently working out of the country. Its hard when you are not there to look yourself. Pridwin seems like it would be significantly cheaper allowing me to bring in a great florist and make it look nice. Has anybody had his/her wedding there? Any thoughts on this place?

Central Park Boathouse – 60K , amazing place, but will have to wait to win a lottery.

Not sure about the Pidwin, but here are a few other venues with outdoor space that I priced at under $25K for 100 ppl when I was looking:
- Desmond Tutu Center
- Manhattan Penthouse
- Morningside Castle
- Studio Square (LIC – level with terraces have no views, top level w/out terraces have amazing skyline views)
Hudson Terrace came out just above $25K, but might be feasible if you’re closer to 75ppl.
